Just got a call in class from a Cardozo phone number. They left a message so I'll have to see what it was. I feel a little guilty since I should probably withdraw...

I should note: I'm already in with a Paulsen. So I can only assume this is more money.

Ntn to do with $ .... Theyre (alumni 3Ls) calling asking if you have any questions about the school...

Lame. My sister's an alumna, don't need any answers.

Has everyone that has been admitted received a phone call before getting anything in the mail?

My application went in as May Part-time, 160/3.51

My status checker went complete 11/22.
Decision Rendered 1/31 without a phonecall.

He told me on the phone that he just put my letter in the mail. So I assume most people do get a call before getting anything in the mail. I actually had just checked my status checker earlier today and there hadn't been any movement at all (still said complete 12/8) and then I randomly got the phone call.

*edit* It STILL says complete and under review, 12/8.

Is anyone going to one of the receptions hosted by alumni in other cities? I am already going to the ASD on March 24th in NYC, but I'm wondering if I should also go to the reception in SF March 4th to meet some local alumni. Anyone have similar plans?

I changed my number in between, I updated vis lsac and Dozo, but I received a call via unknown # that I missed and 5 mins later i received an email with a scan of my acceptance letter and scholarship

Mine changed to the same as yours. I received an email shortly thereafter offering me to join the waitlist.

I'm hopeful since its my #1 choice.

Does anyone have any idea/experience on how receptive cardozo is to negotiate a scholarship? They didn't offer me anything but I got a nice, big scholarship at Loyola, probably something at Pepperdine, and a small amount at Illinois. Will they care?

Got a phone call from a 1L today asking if I had any questions. I asked about his and his peers experiences with keeping scholarship money- he said his scholly has a 3.3 stipulation and so far he is on track to keep it without a problem at all. I asked him what it's been like to keep it and he said, "Well, for me, I had to go to class and do the readings and it was smooth sailing from there." I'm sure he wouldn't be calling admitted students and saying, "Yeah, they stacked the section and I'm about to get f'ed out of my scholarship and so are all my friends." But I found his experience comforting nonetheless. Also- I am really, really impressed with Cardozo so far. From the vibe that I got from my self guided tour to the phone calls/follow-ups. It makes me feel like they actually care about the students.

I'm going to the one on 3/24, and am strongly considering going to the Monday 2/21 session in NY. I don't have classes on Fridays and 1 on Monday so it's a strong possibility I will be there, but I have a dance show at school coming up, so I need to make sure I'm not missing any critical practices if I do go.

Yea that's the case unless you go to some of the predominately black law schools. My earlier post meant that Cardozo isn't almost all WASPs
