Went complete on 11/23, got the email yesterday.

I guess all I can say is at least GW had some tact and emailed WLs/Rejections after the holidays. I have read that some people were dinged from other schools 2 days before Christmas! Talk about fun times.

I'm somewhat surprised I haven't been dinged yet. Also complete on 11/23, but #'s are definitely lower than some of the people getting dinged here.

Also with the high LSAT rejections, it makes me wonder if they are trying to raise their GPA median...

About how long did it take everyone to go complete? I applied 12/08 and haven't heard a peep.

For GW at least, the best way to gauge your chances is to look at the class profile on their site. It breaks down accepts by GPA and LSAT ranges. However, with that said, you need to consider that people who have gotten accepted with lower numbers are prob URM.

As for why people with higher LSATs are getting dinged, it's prob not b/c GW is trying to raise their median GPA. It's easier to get a bunch of people with high GPAs than LSATs and in the end, LSAT matters more perception-wise for GW's rep. It could be YP but just as likely it could be that there may have just been some red flag or something GW didn't like about the people with competitive numbers that got dinged.

If GW really does look into resumes and essays, it could be that people didn't have as impressive softs as they think they did or they did a poor job of explaining them which would help explain why rejected people got into peer or possibliy better schools who may care more about numbers. FYI, on resumes you should never put responsibilities or duties; no one cares at all. You should be putting down accomplishments.

Submitted 11/18 (Thurs) and went complete 11/23 (following Monday).

That said, if you haven't heard for a long time do email the admissions office. I hadn't heard until 12/4, and my bf (who submitted later) did, so I emailed and it turns out their email hadn't gone through to me!
