All these high GPA acceptances are making me very nervous.
...Or maybe its good that they will cancel mine out as to not fuck up Penns median.

Hey congrats!! When did you submit, go complete, UCR?glacierfrost wrote:I cannot believe it! Got in today via ED...the dean tried calling me but I was unavailable so I found out via email
And to further inspire hope for you....165(multiple) / 3.85 non-URM here. I think the 5 year plan essay helped me out a lot.
Good luck to the rest of you!

Also, good luck. Penn is an awesome school. And congrats to those who have already gotten in- acceptances couldn't have gone to better people.
Lol beachbum. I read your post and was like, "ah what a nice guy" and then saw your avatar and was like oh...nm.

It's all about the numbers. Penn isn't being holistic so much as trying to raise their LSAT median without screwing with their GPA median. For every reverse splitter they admit, they'll need, practically speaking, a traditional splitter to balance everything out.Mike12188 wrote:All these high GPA acceptances are making me very nervous.

If I'm wrong, Penn is doing a bad job watching out for its own interests. I'm not saying the process is unholistic (numbers alone are seldom enough to get into a school on Penn's level), but I also think it's no accident that last year, every non-URM ED acceptee satisfied at least one median.Mike12188 wrote:I'm praying you are right lolHeavenWood wrote:It's all about the numbers. FWIW I'm not helping them raise either median: @ 50th LSAT and below 25th GPA.HeavenWood wrote:It's all about the numbers. Thank you Penn for looking past my sad not-above-median numbers

Any idea when ASW is?

Hey I was wondering, if you are a double legacy, why didn't you go to Penn for UG. Feel free to not answer it BTW.HeavenWood wrote: If I'm wrong, Penn is doing bad job watching out for its own interests. Have any of the acceptances been URM thus far?

Nobody got a rejection today. I'm sure it doesn't take long to update someone's status to denied. So either they didn't make all the decisions today OR they wanted an easy day tom. changing status's and emailing people lolamkid100 wrote:I guess just given the fact that only 14-28 are admitted TOTAL and already 5+ have posted online. Yes, but because this is Top Law Schools, I would imagine the T14 schools get pretty good representation on the interwebz. Certainly nowhere near 100%, but a good chunk all the same.amkid100 wrote:I guess just given the fact that only 14-28 are admitted TOTAL and already 5+ have posted online. Do you think it should be MVPBN? I thought the general consensus was YHS --> CCN --> MVPB --> DNCG. I try to stay out of the TLS "mini-tier" arguments (as far as I'm concerned, they're all excellent schools).beachbum wrote:Fine... I'll go. I... I know when I'm not wanted.
