Does anyone know anything about how FSU is doing scholarship money? Did anyone get any info in their acceptance packet? In other words, if I haven't heard about $$$, am I not getting any?

No. A few weeks after my acceptance they emailed me a little scholarship application. I don't think everyone is offered to fill out the application, though, but I'm not sure. I'm assuming after they assess the applications, they will offer the $$.

You guys all made yours 3-4 pages? Most schools say no more than two :(
Mine was 1 and 3/4 page and I got accepted. I wouldn't sweat it and highly doubt it's a big deal.

I went to UG in FL but moved out of state after grad and established residency there.

I didn't receive that email... I got accepted a couple weeks after Barbie did though... I got the phone call right before Thanksgiving. Any chance it just hasn't come yet?

The email came Nov. 22 so you probably missed the cut off. Another round of emails will come out eventually!

The FSU rep at the LSAC event said I would qualify. Seems about right, tons of kids i know from UG went to school for instate tuition in FL because on of their parents lived here even if they were in Jersey or something.

FSU app sent. Now comes the question - request to hold my app until Dec scores come back? Right now i'm at 2.91/164 . To me those seem like competitive numbers. I'm pretty sure I didn't do worse than 164 on Dec10 but how much better is up in the air, I may well have gotten another 164 or bumped it up to 167 depending on how my LG and LR went.

You're in. I'm at 2.87/166 and was accepted after a week. (Thanks again FSU!) Look at their 2009 acceptance chart, 160 is a magical number. Anything over, you are pretty much set. Under, no matter the GPA, good luck.

Lets hope so. FSU is one of my top choices and I would love to get in.

So next week marks the "three month" date from when I went complete. Status checker says I should know within that period. Hoping that's true and I'll actually hear something. Otherwise, they should include in the fine print, "only if your LSAT is above 160 - otherwise you'll be waiting until April."

Guessing you won't have a lot of knowledge as a 1L, but how is the job outlook?

i submitted all of my applications on 11/26, recieved one acceptance, 2 acknowledgements and nothing from FSU. not even an email stating they got the application. LSAC shows me complete.

Hey fellow FSU applicants

I applied in early Oct, got the email about scholarships, filled out the application and sent it off into email land in November. Just got a call December 13th about scholarship money! And a quick email confirming. Nothing in the mail about it yet. Either way I am pretty excited and am in-state so I was surprised they even gave scholarships on top of the cheap tuition. If my fellow UF undergrad friends ask me if FSU could pay me to love the noles, I would say yes yes yes!

sidenote... I never understood the FSU/UF hatred anyways. Both great schools. Both have had great football teams.

Awesome! I guess I'm not getting any $. I filled it out and sent it off as well. Oh well :)

Barbie, don't despair. Got my e-mail for scholarship opportunities yesterday, sent it today, so they are clearly still considering it. And given everyone's responses in the UF thread I do not believe I will be accepted and have to make a decision, so being a 'Nole is looking more likely by the day!

Seriously, it is way too early for them to stop giving out scholarship money. It's so early! Good luck! Plus they may do it at different times for instate vs. out of state applicants.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
