Nope - RD, but I chose the option to start in summer or fall. I actually prefer summer so i'm pumped!!
I think someone answered it for me, but my status checker still says 10/8 - weird.

Also - acceptance letter is dated 10/9 - I live pretty close to Ann Arbor

Wow, congrats!

As already noted, it seems like they send out acceptances before waiting two days or so to update the status checker (to "reduce anxiety"). The first batch went out Friday or Saturday and status checkers were updated Monday. So maybe the second batch was sent out yesterday?

This is absolutely true. However, I wonder why everyone's status checker stops on 11/08.

I am not sure if this is true, but I think UMich uses UPS, not the postal services. Maybe superstar can confirm this?!

Who cares about the holiday and lack of snail mail when we have the admitted students trick? That should be updated tomorrow, if the precedent holds.

As for the admitted students site, obviously it's an erratic indicator, I trust actually getting a letter in the mail more.
