Re: IU Indianapolis Applicants' Thread
Does anyone know how the waitlist usually goes for IU-Indy? I'm considering sending an email, but I don't want to be too forward

Accepted today via e-mail. I had been complete since the very beginning of November, so this one was completely out of left field.

Re: IU Indianapolis Applicants' Thread
I was placed on the waitlist today. I just called admissions and asked some questions regarding the waitlist procedure, and here is what I was told:
-They keep approximately 100 people on the waitlist (WL), although the number fluctuates weekly
-This number is not a good indicator of acceptance chance, however, as WL applicants are not ranked. Also, many who have indicated that they would like to remain on the WL do not plan on attending
-Starting June 1st, most of the WL activity will begin, i.e. notification of WL applicants
-In July, applicants will be notified if they do not have a chance to be brought off the WL (establishment of a priority WL).
-In the past, WL applicants have been notified as late as the first day of orientation, although most of the spots will be filled in June/July.
I hope this helps. I have no idea if I want to ride this out or not.

Re: IU Indianapolis Applicants' Thread
I just received a letter in the mail saying that I received a resident merit award. Originally, I received an email saying that I received a non-resident merit award. They are both for the exact same amount. Did this happen to anyone else? I originally thought it was funny that I got a non-resident merit award, considering I am an Indiana resident, but the email explicitly said the award was for Indiana residents. I am curious if the email was a typo, or if I actually received two merit awards? I am going to send an e-mail to them this week, but I am curious if I am the only person this happened to. Here's to wishful thinking that I just got two! haha.

The status checker has not been working tonight when I try to check it. Has anyone been able to access it this evening?

My status just changed to "Decison Letter Sent." I have not gotten an acceptance email, but at the bottom of the status checker it says seat deposit due 6/1/2011. Does this mean I got in?

Accepted PT today, but will withdraw promtply. Been accepted FT at a different school. Good luck guys!! Indy was my top choice for a long time, but their sluggishness wore on me after a while.

Hello Everyone!
Just discovered this forum (how did I miss it?!) and appreciate the insight that everyone has provided.
I figured I would share how my process went asit seems that a lot of people are still waiting.
Jan 27 - Applied (Status: Waiting on February LSAT Scores) -- Side Note: My LSAT Scores (Dec 2007) expired, so the admissions counselor told me it would be better to apply and take the Feburary LSAT than to wait to apply.
March 4 - LSAT Scores Received (Status: Complete)
~March 18th - April 24 - IR (Status stayed "In Review," but changed dates approximately 4-5 times over the next month)
April 25 - Received Acceptance Email
Numbers: 2.98/157
Is anyone else starting PT in the fall? Great hearing from everyone!

Thanks Chants! I'm looking forward to starting in the fall.
Does anyone know if all the merit based aid has been awarded already? I don't anticipate receiving any based on my undergrad GPA, but was hoping my recent graduate degree and GPA along with a decent LSAT score would at least warrant consideration.

Got notified by e-mail today that I received a donor scholarship. I'm guessing that batch of notifications just went out for everyone? Renewable with 3.3 GPA.

Anyone heard of any waitlist activity? Final seat deposits were due on June 1st, so I would assume there should be some waitlisters pulled from limbo. Please let me know if my assumption is incorrect. In the meantime, I will continue trying to breathe...

Spoke with admissions and they advised that more seat deposits were paid than are available in the incoming semester... Certainly bad news for us waitlisters.
