Same here, but taking the train instead of flying. Still can't believe how expensive it is to fly from BOS to PHL.

so i applied 12/28, complete 2/1, and still not UR. penn keeps telling me they consider apps in the order they receive them, but everyone i know who applied after me is already in committee. what should i do?

Try Manchester, NH via southwest. Kinda a pain, but when I lived in Boston it was way cheaper/better (granted, I did work in Andover, so it wasn't quite as long a drive).

What are the chances of Penn matching scholarships to other schools? I sent them an e-mail with my Duke (67,500) and Virginia (90,000) offers, politely asking them to consider matching. Anyone else trying the same thing?

Did they tell you that your app is not under review or is that what the status checker says? Status checkers are not the most reliable system. Some people have been accepted to schools with the status checker never showing "complete" or UR.

I'd like to know this too. I really like Penn, but matching offers is going to be big. Anyone have any luck?

I spoke with the financial aid people in person when I went to go visit, and they do not consider Duke a "peer" school. They didn't even want me to send my 90k letter. lol bitch slap to Duke. They did say to definitely send UVA's though, but that they don't really have a matching policy. I got the 60k James Wilson, and from what he said it sounded like I wouldn't be able to get more than 75k (because the wilson is 60-75k)

When I met with Dean Post, she told me I should absolutely share my Michigan scholarship information with Penn. Just throwin it out there

Oh, then I will. I also have a scholly to Chicago, but it's not very much. I'd rather show them the high numbers. Will do that later today then.

I submitted mine 2 weeks ago and haven't received a response, so no idea how long it takes but it looks like its not quick.

I just got the same thing. Doesn't look like it even talks about scholarships, just financial aid, which (surprise, surprise), I got none of.
