From everything I've read, neither desperation nor a second LOCI are good ideas.

+1 was going to ask the same questionEvelyn2016 wrote:The online status checker reads: "Additionally, admissions decisions will not be available online; rather, all applicants will receive their final decisions by mail."
Does this mean we will not get an email notification for our application??

When I submitted my LOCI, through the website, a month ago I did not receive an email confirmation. Should I be concerned? I'm held and just visited so I was going to send another loci soon

it seems like you'll receive notice via email if you are accepted, held, or reserved. I believe snail mail is reserved for dingslauren22 wrote:+1 was going to ask the same questionEvelyn2016 wrote:The online status checker reads: "Additionally, admissions decisions will not be available online; rather, all applicants will receive their final decisions by mail."

Well more of a follow up/thank you. I just visited this week. Not trying to be desperate. Original post was concerned with whether my first loci was received.seeprybyrun wrote:I defer to my earlier postmtf612 wrote:I was going to send another loci soon

...So the only way to know I'm rejected is to wait for a mail...? I have an international address right now as "current address", not even sure whether/when they would mail it.ldlestrange wrote:it seems like you'll receive notice via email if you are accepted, held, or reserved. Please Columbia, let me in. You're one of the few who haven't gotten back to me with a waitlist yet. MyLSN has my chances here at above 70% and unlike those meanies in the lower half of the T13, I know you want my LSAT score and you actually realize I want you too. Please don't break my heart.

I'm assuming they'll let people know either way right? Does anyone know if it will be by email/snail mail/phone call?dddddd90 wrote:Pretty sure it was supposed to be by today.HarvardHopeful95 wrote:Has anyone heard back about the Richard Paul Richman Scholarship yet?

I hope so! My working theory is that you'll get a phone call if good news, otherwise an email with a consolation merit award. Maybe that is wishful thinking...NotAGolfer wrote:I'm assuming they'll let people know either way right? That's my hope. Is it the general understanding that if you were up for this Fellowship, you will at least get some amount of money from the school even if you're not chosen as a fellow?dddddd90 wrote:I hope so! No promises, of course, but I think consolation prizes are pretty standard fare for this sort of thing.HarvardHopeful95 wrote:That's my hope. Been complete since 1/20. Nothing from Columbia. It may be a lost cause to ask, but does anyone have any clue as to what is happening?
