I'm sorry if this has been posted, I'm just far too lazy to look, but is there a status change from "Complete" before they send something in the mail?

I don't think so - mine just said "complete ready for review" or something

I bet there will be 5-10 rejections and 5-10 NCEs per day, both in exactly the same kind of envelope. There will also be waitlist and held emails trickling out at all hours of the day and night. A few students will get an email from the financial aid office out of the blue, implying that they might be accepted, but they'll have to call in to find out.

Not necessarily. Anon, banjo and I all submitted back in September, yet weren't included in the Reserve batch (which is Columbia's WL). You'd think if we were getting reserved, they would've included us back then, but it didn't happen. Yet we haven't been held either--once again--even though we submitted before most of the other people who got held. So again, we could be on the bubble and they're determined to make a decision within the next week. Or they lost our apps. Same could be said for anyone hearing nothing but radio silence.

How did you come up with this scenario?

At least one car will pull up in front of an applicant's house to take him or her on a magical journey of adventure, discovery and friendship - but not ultimately acceptance.

Maybe at Penn. He should be auto-admit to Columbia

Yeah, I don't know what Columbia is up to. Lavitz should have been admitted day one.

I am the culmination of forces challenging TLS wisdom at HYS.
I have a TTT UG, 4 Ws, have retaken, essentially a K-JD, weak WE, weak softs, and my application screams having no real reason to attend law school.

As for the WL, I wrote no supplemental essays and chose not to interview at NU. I'm somewhat surprised I was admitted into UVA and UCB. Ironically, both are schools I am now somewhat considering to attend.

As for CLS, that is a mystery to me but there is zero chance I would attend at sticker so it doesn't bother me much.

I posted about this earlier but I think it's definitely a better sign to be "forgotten" at this point than to have been held or reserved.

On CLS's website for financial aid, it says that to be eligible for grants, 2012 income tax forms and W2s/etc. are required by March 1st, for both the student and parents. It says to submit 2011 forms by that date if 2012 are not ready yet, and then submit 2012 as soon as possible.

I have not been admitted, but I am excitedly optimistic that I will be soon. Does anyone know if the March 1st deadline for these forms is flexible? Obviously it makes no sense to submit the forms before even being accepted. Will the likelihood of receiving grants decrease if the forms are late? Unfortunately, I simply cannot attend if I do not receive significant grant assistance.

IIRC, the deadline is flexible. I believe they ask you to submit them as soon as possible after you're admitted. But someone correct me if I'm wrong.

LBR, my cycle has already been pretty much a dream. I guess I'll be going to UVA is I don't take money over T-10 prestige.
