It seems like they're lighting fast this year for people with auto-admit #s, but everyone else is kept waiting.

I don't mind slow acceptances, it's slow rejections. They can take as long as they want if I really have a shot, but if I'm an autoding I would really like to know now.

I would say I'm an exception too, because with my LSAT below median, I didn't consider myself to be auto-admit material, even though I was treated as such. On the other hand, my S.O. applied ED to NYU last year and he waited forever only to be waitlisted and nothing more.

No, I haven't sent anything. I was waiting until I got waitlisted. If these updates mean anything, I'm pretty nervous as there are still a ton of people with great numbers for them to accept and mine are auto-WL at best. If I do end up hearing anything either way, I'll certainly post here.

Very similar EVERYTHING. Same UR date and everything. Except you got into Boalt and im FR2.

Lets hope we get in at all our pending together, especially NYU.

NYU is my number one, if I got into Stanford and NYU I'd probably choose NYU 9-10 times. Some people have told me to let them know this. What do y'all make of that? Anything in letting the admissions office know that NYU is my clear #1?

Unless you apply ED, your #1 choice probably is a meaningless statement to Adcomms at this time (because thousands say the same thing every year). OTOH, your #1 choice becomes relevant when on the WL.

i disagree. i would 100% mention this in a LOCI. just work it in a subtle, smooth way that indicates if you get an offer you will 100% accept immediately. and dont say this unless you will.

convince yourself that youd chose it 10/10 and put it in, it will help. they care about yield rates.

Thanks for the advice guys... also, although it shouldn't be surprising that an 81 year old man died, I'm kind of shocked and definitely saddened to hear that R. Dworkin died. Easily one of the greatest philosophers working during my short lifetime.
