Yes..
I think Berkeley is a lot harder to get into.
Well Mich is my last hope for a T14 ... the closest I got was In Wisconsin-Madison last week. And I always thought Berk was supposedly more holistic !!!
Just because you didn't get into Berkeley doesn't mean that Berkeley isn't "more holistic"

Michigan's status checker and this thread have me totally confused. I don't compulsively check this thing, but I was talking with a Michigan alum here - my last updated date is today. I cannot access ASW. Did I get dinged? I'll be sad if Dean Z gives me the cold shoulder after the nice note I wrote her. =/

Hey all,
I'm sure this has already been asked in this thread, but I couldn't find it. What does the "last updated" date mean? That date on my status checker has been updated every single day (including Saturdays) for the past three weeks, and still no decision. I have +75th percentile LSAT (for Michigan I mean) and GPA. I had a 25th percentile LSAT when I applied in November and I had a big increase on the December test. Softs fairly strong for a senior in undergrad - lots of leadership and service.

hahaha. we need a thread titled "what do michigan status checkers updating every day mean" that you can just google search.
it doesn't mean anything special, but congrats on increasing your LSAT.

I already posted once early on this page about what the status checker update means
I probably have answered this same question 5+ times in this thread. They really need to stick this up in a FAQ thread...

Yeah, sorry about that. Couldn't find too much with the search. Any thoughts on what my chances still are considering I went complete 12/10 and they didn't get my December test score until 1/11?

I was accepted last year on 3/30 after taking the Feb LSAT 2/20 and didn't become complete until mid March. You all have a chance, just not a good once since there are less spots open.

but from what i know, taking the february test puts you at a much worse disadvantage than the december test, right?!

Yup it sure does. Michigan was my only acceptance from last cycle, whereas this year I was able to get acceptances from the same schools that WLed me by applying early.
I think you guys are still good since you are complete now. There are also a large number of Dec. takers who are rushing their applications off this weekend, they will be at a large disadvantage than you.

Just to add, I read last year that schools get a large percentage of apps right before the deadline (I think somewhere from 30% to more, don't remember for sure). So beating that wave is key, which you have done.
