I think loci are always credited, but I feel like the roll in this situation is more like the original UR with a slight bump added, so it's probably not as necessary to write a loci as it normally is.

I would wait until you are actually waitlisted. Getting held in a situation like this is a lot different from getting held in a normal ED situation. The only possible exception would be someone who was competitive for the scholarship. A LOCI then can address possible weaknesses (such as the previous poster's sporadic WE) to increase chances of receiving a high initial scholarship offer. I'm curious to see if they will have a low ceiling for scholarship offers because of the full rides. IIRC, NU has typically maintained high scholarship ceilings, so perhaps this doesn't change the overall scholarship strategy much.

Dammit, I wish they'd remember my existence and put me back on whatever mailing list is getting the holiday emails. I enjoyed them last year. (When I deferred, they even requested my email address to "keep me up to date throughout the year" but I never got anything.)

I emailed admissions today to remind them I'm still here and want an AWS login. Hopefully they haven't lost my file.
