Has anyone successfully applied for and received a travel stipend for visiting a Cornell admitted students day?

I received $175 just by filling out the travel-stipend form.

$300 bucks. To be fair though, that barely covered half of my round-trip ticket. Not to mention hotel and other costs

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Well a ticket would only cost about $300 for me, so if I could get that covered then I'd be willing to swallow the other costs myself. Guess I'll go fill out this form.PinkCow wrote:Bildungsroman wrote:Has anyone successfully applied for and received a travel stipend for visiting a Cornell admitted students day?

When you RSVP for one of the ASWs, there should be a link.
A round trip ticket for me would roughly be $400, so my best estimate is that they cover about half your ticket.

Or waiting you in.
That didn't make any sense, sorry.
I'm positive it's a good thing.

Well I just RSVPed to the April 8 admitted students day and submitted my travel subsidy request form. Let's hope they consider CO far enough away to be generous.

I wish I could get a stipend for traveling when I'm visiting- I can't make the other dates due to finals etc. I'm driving up, but still.

2:00pm seems like when they usually start afternoon decisions, right after lunch.Perch wrote:so what time do we really have to start watching our inboxes (more) excessively?

Condolences, my friend, it ain't easy to hear bad news. Send in a LOCI, and don't give up. Remember, you have good options either way. BU isn't Cornell, but nothing to sniff at (directed at me as much as you, I'm in a very similar boat).rman1201 wrote:rman1201 wrote:Perch wrote:so what time do we really have to start watching our inboxes (more) excessively?2:00pm seems like when they usually start afternoon decisions, right after lunch.

Put on reserve which sounds like a waitlist to the waitlist?

Grumbling. Just updated from 01/07 "processing" to 03/02 "processing". WTF? Presuming I'll get my decision sometime in June.

Really? I RSVP'd a while ago, and I could never find it.
