It took you 119 pages to figure that out?
Y'all typically need at least 3 Application Completed status dates before you should worry about getting a letter. Some people have had more, but I think everyone with a decision has had at least 3 updates.
haha i skim what i read and skip most of it....3 updates eh............disappointing.

I'm at 12/13 now. I don't remember my other dates. But I'm in a tropical climate, so I'll relax for all you guys.

They seem to make decisions on Monday, and admitted applicants became able to generate login infor for the Admitted Students site around this time last week. Might be worth a check

Yeah I was just going to ask. I'm 11/15 -> 11/29 -> 12/6 -> 12/13 as well. So this will be my third "complete" update, but I am still not able to log into the admitted students website. For those of you who have gotten in, were you able to log into the admitted site immediately after your last "complete" date? Or did it take a few days to be able to do so (i.e. to get your name input in the system or whatnot)?

so people try to log in to the admitted students website prior to receiving a letter indicating acceptance? do they use their status checker id/pw?

You should be able to get a username and password on your last complete date, which will be your decision date, if you are admitted.

No, you'll probably find it helpful to go back and read some of this thread, maybe from around pages 75-105? You can't log in, but if you click "no password" on the admitted students site, it will give you a prompt to send you login information. If you're in, you will receive an email with a usernam and password that aren't yet valid. Otherwise, it will tell you that it can't generate login information at this time.

I've been reading this thread the entire time but I'm in panic mode because my recommender got an email today and she isn't answering her phone to tell me whether it said the whole bit about "good news"... But I'm guessing had it said something along those lines, she would've told me and been really excited about it. So now I'm worried... Did we ever decide whether the generic email meant rejection or that it wasn't set in stone one way or another?

I think the generic email is for rejections as well as files on which they haven't made a decision yet. That's just from what I've observed, though.

Did it work?
Edit: I looked at your LSN profile, I don't think you have anything to worry about, you should be in.

To Marionberry:
Yes! It did! I've been waiting forever for this thing. I think it really does come on your third "complete" update, because I've tried logging in the weeks prior to today, and even this morning. I got an update on my status checker today, and password/ID for the first time just an hour ago. I'm so freaking excited it isn't even funny. Thanks again for your advice!

Some of you will get login info today, and accept it as indication of an acceptance. Some of you will get excited for about two hours, and then spend the next three days freaking out about whether or not it is a mistake. It's not, but you will still freak out.

Oh and one of my recommenders got the generic (no mention of good news) email only last Wednesday or Thursday so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

This made me truly lol... I just tried the website, got the login info, freaked out, and then told myself it's not real until I get the acceptance in the mail

Oh come on. Tell them. You think you're the one special snowflake GULC decided to punk with an accepted students site email?
