This may have been asked and answered already, but I'm too lazy to check the whole history of this forum. Do NYU merit scholarship notifications come in at the same time as admission decisions, or would that come later?

Still processing as well, submitted before Thanksgiving :(
Submitted first week of November, only went UR today. It takes a little time.

I did not apply for a scholarship but I went under review pretty quickly and got a decision quickly as well.
When did you apply?
Sent 11/11, Complete 12/3, Decision 12/9.
That doesn't seem all that quick. It took you 22 days to complete. (Which is in line with the first group of people I referenced getting their completes within a day or two.) Whereas, I was complete in 10 days.

Edit: Well, I mean that is quick, definitely. It was just twice as long as mine (and I was expecting to have to process for much more time). It's probably just the lucky pile explanation.

Yes. But when you factor in the ED deadline at the same time and Thanksgiving break, I think it's pretty quick. I do agree that it isn't SUPER quick, but I figured I would share my situation to give people a better picture.

From looking at LSN it looks like they come in the first couple weeks of March to about 20-30 people for each scholarship and you are notified if you win by mid to late April.

This thread has kept me going for the last few weeks. NYU is such a reach and dream for me (hence the ED), but hopefully they show some SERIOUS URM love. It won't go unrequited.

Did anybody else notice the NYU emoticon? Please, NYU AdComm, turn me purple.

Has anyone so far received their decision using the USPS forwarding thing?

I moved in the first week of December and had my mail forwarded. My status checker says decision sent 12/6 but I still haven't received anything. And am starting worry now that it's been over a week...

Based on my talks with a USPS employee, it could take up to two weeks from the beginning date of your forwarding to when you will receive your mail. I would expect it sometime middle next week and anything before that would be a bonus. Have you received any other mail that was supposed to go to your old address?

Yeah, I've had some other things forwarded without any trouble. I'm just leaving for the holidays on Saturday and it will really stink not to get it before then... and it this point I can't help but be convinced it is lost in a horrible vortex of pre-Christmas mail...

When were those other things mailed? I wouldn't worry about it. It's a larger envelope so it often takes slightly longer.
