Re: Columbia 2011!
I haven't been on TLS all day, and when I logged on the Columbia thread was two pages longer than it was this morning. I knew before I clicked that could just mean one thing... a vomit sighting.
Well that or a stupid number of lolcats.

Not to doubt you but I've never seen these famous vomit colored envelopes that looks like more of a cream color to me...very similiar to the color of the envelope my Columbia viewbook came in when it finally arrived last week...any chance you have a pic with your (name covered) if you like of the letter inside it? That way we can all verify it is actually time to freak outlaw_monkey wrote:Hmmmm - that pic does not really showcase its beautiful vomit hue.

OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU. Brooklyn here.
Although really all it means is that an empty mailbox tonight certainly means waitlist, not slow USPS.[/quote]
Keep hope alive Habit. Yes you can!

Sounds dumb to say, but I didn't mean stupid in a bad way. It's like saying he was stupid tall or something along those lines (meaning unbelievably tall). You must admit, three pages filled with LOLcats in as many hours would be remarkable.dulcatis wrote:FTFYthelaststraw05 wrote:I haven't been on TLS all day, and when I logged on the Columbia thread was two pages longer than it was this morning. Thank youuu! At least yoga class isn't over till 9 tonight. Maybe I can come up with some other excuses to avoid going home and checking the mail... Gah, I've spent all winter walking around Columbia's campus imagining myself actually belonging there. Maybe I should go do that one more time for good luck.Older Chest wrote: Keep hope alive Habit. Re: Columbia 2011!
Does Columbia usually send out acceptances in one big batch or are there multiple batches? (aka if you don't get a letter within the next few days, does it mean you were waitlisted/rejected?)

Thanks everyone!! Yeah I might have to go blow off some steam I'm totally freaking out! I'm so excited I can't even decide where I want to go for my celebratory dinner
Good luck today everyone, especially all you NYers! The mail carrier pretty much ripped open my envelope before i got to it, hopefully others will arrive more intact.

Re: Columbia 2011!
I have one way that I'm staying calm. My index and law school predictor both tell me I have somewhere between a snowball's chance in hell and snowball's chance in the sahara of getting in.
I'm just hoping that the mail gets mixed up and the snowball is sent to DC (me)... it has a chance at survival there.

Good luck Habit, keep the faith! I don't think I'd make it through yoga before checking the mail for the day, props to you for that!Excellence = a Habit wrote:Thank youuu! Re: Columbia 2011!
I live in an apartment with a tiny mailbox, it happens all the time when he tries to put larger envelopes in there. Kind of takes some of the fun out of it when its already half open but I'm not complaining.thecilent wrote:Wait your mail-person was opening your letter? Lolma456 wrote:Thanks everyone!! ma456 was complete in January, so it seems those complete in November should definitely be included in the first batch... hoping for an envelope in DC tomorrow!
