i think i'm going to do a self-guided tour on thursday morning. has anyone here done that? and has anyone had success meeting with admissions?

Just tell them that you'll accept the BPE in person. Then you can jump in on the ASW next Thursday/Friday.

Thanks for the info on last year's final acceptance push. Do you know if people who had applied early, say October or November, were also in that big final batch, or was it mostly late applicants? In other words, are we October applicants outta luck? :p

i did last summer. felt like home. i didn't have success meeting with anyone of any importance, but then again...it was the summer, so not exactly a happening time for admissions, maybe? in any case, enjoy! I spent about 30 minutes, checked out the library, and then wandered to Nolita and dreamt about me living in an apartment there...

Yeah that batch looks like they were definitely shoring up their LSAT median. No reason that this cycle would work out the same way, obvs.

Thank you a million for taking the time to compile this. Making me feel SLIGHTLY better about what I thought was certain waitlisting. I've got a 171/3.75, but I'm an LSAT retaker with a much worse first score. My problem is that I was offered a small scholarship at GULC and have to commit by April 1. When I do that, I have to withdraw from all other schools.

Looks like it's going to be a photo finish, right down to the last minute.

No problem! I'm in the same situation with GULC...frustrating but what can you do.

I keep telling myself, in a month this will be all over. Unless I'm WL, in which case it will be a very long summer (last year, the very few WL admits @ NYU were in August...).

GRRR, i just found the 169 acceptee...she also got into cls and yale! hardly a typical applicant.

Your LSAT is higher, so unless they are looking for GPA only or a combo of both I still say you got a great chance.

Since we're on the subject, here's links to the WL, Accepted lists from 2006 on, sorted by LSAT descending:

08-09 - (none on LSN, although a few on TLS got accepted in August)
07-08 - http://nyu.lawschoolnumbers.com/applica ... order=desc
06-07 - http://nyu.lawschoolnumbers.com/applica ... order=desc

Note that 07-08 favored LSAT, 06-07 was more of an even split. Didn't NYU try to raise its LSAT median in 07-08?

and if you haven't done it yet, do a search for applicants with your EXACT numbers and see what comes up. this will give you the clearest picture. most of these peeps that got in late had higher LSATS, but their GPAs weren't the most competitive. who knows what NYU will need this year. they can't go solely on lsat and neglect their GPA median either.

in any case, it made me feel better because i found a late admit from two years back that had my exact numbers. let me be that person, this cycle. *folds hands in prayer, again*
