I can't believe this is a giant group of rejections. Cross your fingers people.
It isn't!!!!! 3/16 is a group of acceptances! Look at the numbers for last year at LSN! I think the language on the 3/11 waitlist letter is being taken too literally and may either just be waitlist language toward the end of the cycle or they meant that the decisions have already been made by the Admissions Committee.
By the way there are many exceptions to the hearsay rule!

Lol
, following this thread, and love the give and take b/t lomax/cougar.
I am not convinced the 3/16 grp is wl's but it seems to be leaning that way.
although I am reserving hope and wish the best to everyone waiting. I agree with cougar. It makes much more sense to me that in hard times people will be sending more apps in. More options usually means lower costs. People are hedging there bets. and like C said, if they do have higher numbers, they will probably get into, and matriculate at better schools. could still leave a lot of movement off the WL. good luck everyone.

All of the numbers of the 3/16 DLIT's are within their acceptance range.

I looked at your stats and you look like an acceptance. This is all very confusing

Ive been RCDP since 2/11 too. 163/3.58. Perhaps they have not yet re-reviewed the 2/11ers. Lets hope they are not deliberately passing us by for some reason.

Re: University of Florida
Maybe DLIT 3/16 isn't just an acceptance pile. I thought it was but if a significant number of people with higher stats havent heard it makes you wonder. So much for the wording of the DLIT letter of 3/ 11 that all the spots had been given out.

Cant imagine why you wouldn't be admitted witht those numbers. Perhaps they're just waiting to see what their yield is going to be. It doesn't make any sense, unless the DLIT 3/16 acceptances actually are WLs. I'd try not to worry if I were you, though. Those seem like auto-admit numbers.flowb wrote:nbatty wrote:I'm still Reviewed by Committee; Decision Pending.

The way I see it its one of two things. Either they are addressing what appears to be a group of well qualified splitters with the 3/16 batch, and will address us later this week, or for some reason they have some apprehension about us for some reason other than numbers (though I cannot think of any red flags on my app). At the end of the day no one will know for sure until we open the letter.JCougar wrote:Cant imagine why you wouldn't be admitted witht those numbers. Yeah, I can't think of any red flags for me either. I breathe easier knowing someone else is in the same boat, though.
It just doesn't make any sense. Statistically and status date-wise, you'd think we'd have gone in the 3/16 batch (whatever those may be.)

What exactly is this URM provision? Based on what i've seen, I'm not sure I fully understand this provision.cgsurfari wrote:3/11 DLIT - Waitlist 159/3.77, non-URM
