How do we submit additional materials (in my case, a Why NYU) to NYU? Do we just email admins?

Just for crowdsourcing sake, is it okay to send a Why NYU statement? I know people say to not do so for HYS but I'm wondering if NYU is the same. NYU is my top choice and dream school so I definitely want to let them know that!tinycatfriend wrote:How do we submit additional materials (in my case, a Why NYU) to NYU? Do we just email admins?

heads up
last year on Feb 11 an email went to applicants that said their apps were still under review and will get a decision by April. The applicants were mostly people who applied Sept-Dec, not January. So, don't freak out if you get something.

@AnBryce Finalists, Congrats! I recommend that you read over this thread and post any questions you have that are not already covered. Current scholars and alumni will reply as soon as they can.
Good luck!

Unfortunately I'm at work so I need to be on the DL and haven't gotten that far. But what I'm seeing as of 3/15/16 is literally just the same stuff as what's been going on right now. Very small waves of DLS for late Jan/Feb applicants. Someone said that no one has gotten in with median LSAT and below median GPA. Don't know how true that held.call-me-bubbles wrote:Do we know if those applicants shared a common fate, e.g. all waitlisted?Keilz wrote:heads up

Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Hey folks,
We are still doing final reads, but many invites have gone out. We aren't receiving anymore applications as of now, so this very likely means that (almost) everyone who was accepted to NYU and applied for the RTK has been or is being evaluated as we speak. If you have not yet been admitted to NYU but were an RTK applicant, I cannot tell you 100% either way (obviously), but I would say this: don't get your hopes up.
I've gotten a lot of PMs and board questions, and I've likely answered most FAQ, but feel free to keep asking me things and I'll do my best to be helpful. That goes for non-RTK questions too of course!
Hang in there folks...

Will all the invites go out before any rejections, or will they be happening at the same time? And would you say that we will all hear either way before the end of Feb, or will decisions continue through the beginning of March? (I'm planning to come out and visit NYU regardless of if I get an RTK interview, but the timing will depend on whether or not I am interviewed so I'm just getting antsy to plan my trip!kkdk wrote:Hey folks,

Sadly NYU is out for me without RTK-size money.airwrecka wrote:Will all the invites go out before any rejections, or will they be happening at the same time? Thanks for that! What does it mean if we are a regular applicant who hasn't heard anything? Does a "Why NYU" help or do they already know I want to go there (because... duh)?kkdk wrote:Hey folks,

+1 On this question. I applied for AnBryce. It's a reach. But I'll sell a kidney to just get an acceptance from NYU. If the essay would even slightly help, I'm all over it.haley12 wrote:Thanks for that! What does it mean if we are a regular applicant who hasn't heard anything? Is there a link to the current applicant spreadsheet for NYU? I can't find one in the stickied post.
