+1. Still silence since 9/16. Why aren't we just getting waitlisted or denied at this point?
I like to think it means we are right on the cusp of acceptance/rejection and there is SOMETHING about our application that really shines. Good luck to you :)

looking at the class of 2019 link, perhaps it's due to overenrollment?

419 people in the group for a class size of typically 300~

unless some people in the group can confirm that like half of them are current students/alums

Even if everyone in the FB group is an admitted student, it's unlikely all of them are matriculating.

+1. When Faulk sent the fb group link in an email, he said to join whether or not you're committed. So it's likely that many ppl in the group are admitted students who might not attend.

Also in that radio silence group despite applying in early October.

Admitted at Harvard, Chicago, NYU, Berkeley and Michigan.

Waitlisted at Columbia.

Also radio silence from Stanford.

Really strange lol.

I've been under review for about a month now, applied 1/10. My numbers would make it seem like I'd be rejected but that notification hasnt come. Is the long evaluation a good sign?

was under review for a month and a half and got wait listed. I wouldn't read into it.

I applied mid January and I got wait listed in early March (167, 3.5X). I wouldn't read too much into it like the previous poster said. This may sound odd, but I am pretty excited to have made the wait list!

I know from their website that I don't have to register for a tour, but I'm wondering if it's possible to meet with someone from admissions, formally or informally. Has anybody had any experience with requesting or accomplishing that?

Also, how many popped Polo shirts should I wear? 1? 2? 3???
It's an absolute MINIMUM of four. If you can only do three then carry around a spare pair of sperry's in hand.

So yesterday I received $180k (slightly over full tuition) from Northwestern and today I received a waitlist notification from UVA... I interviewed with UVA a couple weeks ago and it went great, at least I thought, haha. I think A) They are either relatively full and out of offers (for now), B) They are out of money and know there is no chance I would attend without $$$, or C) YP?

Perhaps a mix of all 3? Or maybe they just didn't like me :D This whole process is so confusing, but the way Virginia admissions works has to be the most confusing of them all. Good luck all, I am still deciding if I will stay on waitlist.

WL as expected, will withdraw. I've heard back from every school now, so that's a relief at least!

Eta: to the guy above me, I read that UVA has been out of money for a while, so they're waitlisting everyone who would need a scholarship to attend.
