May I ask why? H doesn't have a specific deadline for fin aid, but I would want to know sooner rather than later.Harvette wrote:Does it matter when you finish completing your financial aid documents?

H Financial Aid states that you must file your financial aid forms after filing your 2014 taxes for both yourself and your parents (unless you are age-exempt). If you believe that your parents will not be able to file the 2014 taxes prior to April 15 for some reason, you have to apply to have an estimate made before then.curlietop86 wrote:IDK - i'm waiting until i have all my tax forms and have filed my taxes so that i don't have to go back in and re-do estimates with exact figures.psychmusic wrote:I don't see a reason that a delay would be beneficial unless you expect to lose a significant portion of your assets before applying for aidjemthey17 wrote:May I ask why? They don't do estimates for everyone anyways. File your taxes early.
eta: also, as mentioned it's not even available until 02/16

is it safe to assume no calls will be made today?

I think that in lieu of notifications or confirmations to the contrary, it's always safe to assume no calls will be made. Less heart wrenching, in any case.morimoto1991 wrote:is it safe to assume no calls will be made today?

fair enough, but the psychometricians at LSAC are really good at their job, and as a result, the differences between the score distributions between different administrations are tiny.Kobaine51 wrote:^It's actually not scored by percentile so this depends on the work of their psychometricians and the body taking a particular testhereisonehand wrote:They did the same as always. Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
did anyone interview on either of the past two admission waves? i think dec 15th or jan 20th? there might not be a response because of anonymity, but figured it was worth a shotrseaney wrote:honestly i'm not really sure.. someone ITT may knowNathanael wrote:They are conducting interviews today and tomorrow, do they ever send out JS2s on interview days? I'd love for you to be right, for the record.
i think though that JS delivers all the JS2s herself, which leaves two(?) other admissions officers to conduct interviews -- so it seems that JS2s could, at least, go out on interview days just fine

i was in the january wave as well.
doesn't seem like people who interviewed late nov/dec have gotten news back yet, but hopefully this next JS2 wave catches january interviewees too. first admit weekend is in early march so february must be a big JS2 month... right??
fingers crossed!

Any median applicants started getting interview requests? It looks like most people I've seen have been above at least one median.

I know the poll kinda answers ^^ this sort of thing, but it doesn't differentiate between at median and at/above one. so I thought I'd ask.

based on what's been said about the spread of js1s so far, with slots up until thursday, and a big feb 3rd wave last year, i think we'll probably get some js2 news on friday (feb 6) - but that's just purely speculation

While I'm optimistic that there'll be some movement since the deadline will have passed, this cycle has been so different from previous cycles that I wouldn't put much stock at all in the historical data.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
sure. saying this cycle will have the same amount of movement as last cycle during the first week of february is silly. but it doesn't change the idea that movement has to pick up, and it makes sense for that to happen over the next two weeks.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
