+1 to you all.britrf wrote:I remember saying this to myself last Wednesday...theramblingfool wrote:Today, tomorrow, or Friday.leigh912198972 wrote:WHEN WILL THIS TORTURE END
I hope the decision comes within the next 10 days (whether rejection, waitlist or acceptance).
Rejection/acceptance would make things clear, though a waitlist would prolong the torture. I would rather hear some news than dead silence.

I was told by someone in admissions that hold applicants hear back mid-April :/

Luchi, we aren't held. We aren't ANYTHING. Just floating in NU outerspace like a law school Gravity scene.
(But if you were just posting that for held people, then good luck to you all!)

If hold means they don't know what to do with you, what does it mean if you aren't held, WLed, accepted or denied? =p[/quote]
Precisely. Heaven knows I've got some divine favor during this whole process. The waiting game sucks

Still haven't heard back. Had an update on 2/20 and 3/13. NU is my top choice so this wait is making it brutal. I second the sentiment that it would be best to just get an acceptance/rejection at this point. I feel a sort of emptiness knowing I can't move forward with any of my other decisions until I hear back from NU = / It's like there is this lull where I want to do SOMETHING that marks progress but I just feel empty inside and feel I can't move forward until this decision comes out.

That's not possible. All applications have been given a decision by this point. You must have applied somewhere else.theramblingfool wrote:If hold means they don't know what to do with you, what does it mean if you aren't held, WLed, accepted or denied? =pLuchi91 wrote:Haha we are nothing either. Question - of the optional NU essays on the original application, I only answered optional essay for diversity... I don't remember what the others were.. maybe why NU, etc.
If I am still waiting to here any decision whatsoever, could I write those supplemental essays for my application to try and send in before they review? Or do I have to be held to add anything?

I'm pretty pumped that I'm finally getting my acceptance email later on today, though. Worth the wait.
This. Everything about this.

It's not going to be this week, is it?
My theory now is that we (the Nothingers -- not waitlisted, held, accepted or denied) will remain uninformed until after tuition deposits.
Thus, they might as well have held us?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
