Lets just say that if you were waiting to put a deposit down on an apartment for UVA until you heard back from Berk, it wouldn't be a bad time to go ahead and put down that deposit.tee.ell.ess wrote:are hopes dwindling for the rest of us fr2-ers? are calls typically made in the morning?

Is the conventional wisdom here that, if I received an email stating a decision would be made "on or around March 8," that those calls would actually be going out today, and therefore....if the phone hasn't rang....SOL?

I got my call around 2:45. I live in the Bay Area.tee.ell.ess wrote:are hopes dwindling for the rest of us fr2-ers? are calls typically made in the morning?
EDIT: The FR1 notification day was "on or around February 15" and I got my call on February 14.

The first FR notification I received from Berk was on 2/14. I just assumed it was fr1 given that that was the first communication I'd received.ManOfTheMinute wrote:cowabunga might have been held over from FR1 to be evaluation with FR2 peepsHawkeyeGirl wrote:If you were FR1 you would have been notified on or around Feb 15cowabunga85 wrote:I'm FR1. Don't give up hope, people. During FR1 there were acceptances on the date stated in the email as well as the week(s) prior...

Does anyone know whether there are date limitations for getting the $300 travel reimbursement for ASW? Such as, I may decide to fly to the Bay Area from Wed-Sun, in order to show boyfriend more of the area, make more of a trip out of it, etc etc.
Basically, as long as I do in fact attend ASW, should there be any issue with being reimbursed for a flight that spans a longer period of time than strictly ASW? Thanks.

Sorry, the rest of us are busy sobbing in our pillows as our hopes and dreams turn to dust. You're probably better off asking in the admitted students section.

Sorry, didn't know there were rejections today. My Berkeley process wrapped awhile ago so I haven't kept myself in the loop.

Berkeley, I really do have a weird thing for you, even if you're all the way over there on that other coast. Why you no love me back?

Yep, an hour or so left til they rip the bandaid off. It's kind of nice that we had a day to digest it before officially getting the news. I'm ok with it now, just a little annoyed they left me on the hook through 2 rounds of FR
