It's truly really competitive so this is huge and you should be really proud, and celebrate accordingly.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation, I hope you are ok. Fordham is pretty understanding of personal emergencies in my experience. I know a couple people who took time off after their first semester of 1L because of personal emergencies. I hope everything works out for you personally and with deferral.30-Something wrote:Dude, that's amazeballs!! Good for you!!!JCFindley wrote:I got the nod on the Stein Scholars Program today.

Thanks Jen... I actually just got the email granting my deferral a few hours ago... So that gets me one step closer to better.JenDarby wrote:I'm sorry to hear about your situation, I hope you are ok. Thanks for the nice words Fujin. I wouldn't give up yet unless they sent a letter saying otherwise. They may well still be in the process.Fujin11 wrote:JCFindley wrote:I got the nod on the Stein Scholars Program today.
Congrats, I figure at this point it's pretty unlikely that I'll get it but after thinking about it I'm OK with that. I don't really have the proper background to make myself an appealing candidate for something like that anyway and if the spots are going to people who really deserve it, like JC then what do I have to complain about?
Congrats JC! A few questions - did you interview? when did you apply? and, how did they let you know?JCFindley wrote:Thanks for the nice words Fujin. For me, it's absolutely perfect. Plus you can commute off peak though not sure that matters money wise with a monthly pass on the LIRR but it does make getting a train easier.dingbat wrote:^made me more tempted.JCFindley wrote:I requested the option today after getting the email. I'm still mulling it over, because I'm not sure if it would improve my schedule or not.
Maybe I'll see you guys in some of my part-timer night classes, I'm trying to pay my way through school by working to reduce to the debt so that means more or less 16 hour days yippeeJCFindley wrote:For me, it's absolutely perfect. Absolutely not! I'd much rather go to class at 8am than lose my evenings.dingbat wrote:Has anyone else gotten the email about the night owl classes?

There is no objective answer to this.aj922 wrote:Hey, looking for some honest advice
Just heard back from Fordham
Is it worth it at sticker? Don't care about big law, just a law firm job
