10/30 submit here, same boat. Presumably we are on the fringe of the admit pile, so hang in there. Looking at LSN, there was another large wave of VCE's this week last year. Here's to hoping good news is on the way.Champion wrote:10/25 submit and I have been accepted, rejected, or waitlisted. What's going on. People who've applied before and after according to LSN have been receiving either of the three decisions.

For now I think you should take it as a good thing. Columbia is known for known for not following submission. The fact you haven't heard back means they are seriously considering you

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I think the process is more of a "rolling application review" than a "rolling admissions." This means that they look at applications in order of submission, but don't necessarily make final decision in order. If you haven't gotten a decision yet, it probably means that you're a more attractive candidate than those who've already been rejected/reserved, and less attractive than those who've been accepted. That's all.Champion wrote:10/25 submit and I have been accepted, rejected, or waitlisted. What's going on. This process is virtually the same at all top law schools. Columbia also officially sends "hold" emails to candidates who fall in this middle ground, so you may see that coming soon. People who have said that they've been "held" thus far actually mean that they've been put on the waitlist (called "reserve" at Columbia). HTH.

Just got put on the Reserve list. Anyone else get this same response?
Also, is this now the right time to send a LOCI/more LORs?
