Has anyone heard of additional merit money after the deposits? At W&L or elsewhere.
People withdrawing would not necessarily mean more $ in the pool, as, I'm pretty sure, that is factored in to the original offers.

Just suck it up and throw that chump change down. Lex needs more smartasses in that town.SAE wrote:Has anyone heard of additional merit money after the deposits? At W&L or elsewhere.

You should have snapped a pic and sent it to me, I'm always in the market for few good bow ties.statuscheckerssuck wrote:Entirely unrelated, but yesterday I was shopping and saw a fucking sweet bow tie and thought of you. hahasailgclass wrote:Deposited. Just put down my deposit. It'll be W&L barring some incredible WL activity.

I really don't understand the point of a $750 non-refundable deposit. That is 2-3x more than most other schools.

You really don't? Seems pretty obvious they don't want you to tie up a spot unless you are quite serious about it.Harry Ballsogna wrote:I really don't understand the point of a $750 non-refundable deposit. That is 2-3x more than most other schools.

Well....I guess I'm out. The deadline has passed, and I couldn't bring myself to throw down the $750. William and Mary it is, barring Vanderbilt or Cornell coming through.

It hasn't passed, you have until midnight.
I'm sweating every second trying to decide to put down the money or stick with UGA.
Damn you US News and the downward trend that makes this so hard!

Those are your choices? The rankings are irrelevant. It all depends on where you want to work.acstas87 wrote:84Sunbird2000 wrote:Well....I guess I'm out. Yeah I had to decide between those, too. I have to go with UGA b/c the in-state tuition is too good to pass up.acstas87 wrote:84Sunbird2000 wrote:Well....I guess I'm out. True, there is still time.
To me, W&M just didn't have the personality that W&L has. If you're taking the ranking that much to heart you're probably a tad on the superficil and dull side and I'd prefer not to have that sort buzzing around Macado's.
