I probably won't even be submitting til a little after the 11th.Generally wrote: I keep holding hope that at the last minute both my outstanding lor will come in tomorrow before apps... I feel pretty confident the one TA will, because she said by Saturday, so hopefully she will feel bad and do it immediately tomorrow. Praying! Honestly it is mostly just for Duke. I want to know by the 11th! Also UVA did heaps fast turn arounds last year for people who applied super early.

Yep - I asked for my recommenders to get the letters in by the 11th in order to give them a full 6 weeks, which in retrospect was probably excessive.benwyatt wrote:Of course!barley wrote:I probably won't even be submitting til a little after the 11th.Generally wrote: I keep holding hope that at the last minute both my outstanding lor will come in tomorrow before apps... Are you waiting on LOR? There are so many people waiting for things I'm beginning to lose track

Oof yeah that would be a huge confidence blow if that happens...benwyatt wrote:You should be fine, but I get it!barley wrote:Yep - I asked for my recommenders to get the letters in by the 11th in order to give them a full 6 weeks, which in retrospect was probably excessive.benwyatt wrote:

I'm pretty excited for Duke PT, but if it's anything other than an acceptance I'm going to be so pessimistic about the rest of the cycle
I think I might get my Duke decision while my parents are visiting me, though, so it'd be really cool if I get in and can see how excited they are.

Everything I've heard says that your PT chances reflect your MyLSN chances. They obviously want something you have numbers-wise, so you'll have a good shot.whacka wrote:I sure hope so!Generally wrote:Is it consensus that if we got PT, we will probably get in, unless we did something dumb with our application, ps, or something?

So my recommender (employer) just got back from vacation, so I'm sending him all of my materials now. He asked me to also include some "key points" I want him to touch on - any ideas??? I have no clue what to tell him.

Makes sense, thanks!benwyatt wrote:I'd suggest just highlighting your reasons for wanting to go to law school and what, in particular, you'd like to do with your degree.
