I'd rather get texts and emails than snail mail spam, which I'm still receiving. why would any school send paper flyers in this day and age? it makes me sad for the trees

Is Middleton supposed to be a T2? I always assumed it was Penn.Gray wrote:lol those crazy middleton kids are all going to get below median grades in their other classes and strike out at OCI.
That's the plot for next season. Wes starts mass mailing firms when he realizes he has a 2.8 GPA. Mikaela has a nervous breakdown when she realizes what a terrible decision she made turning down Yale and Columbia for a "hands on approach" to learning - in spite of her fully + stipend, she begins to think that dropping out is her only option, seeing as she's barely above median. Laurel tries to convince herself that legal aid is a great way to get a PI job - she wants to pay off her loans with PSLF, but finds this is easier said than done.
Drama ensues. The Murder in the title now refers to the fact that the kids all murdered their own futures by attending a T2.

It's set in Philly and is supposed to be preftigious. They filmed it at Bryn Mawr because actual Penn wouldn't let them on campus.

Michigan extending their application deadline to March 1st. Guess lower T14 is feeling the squeeze of falling applications... I want to know if/how T6 is feeling it?

Huh, that's interesting. Are deadline extensions common or is this the first time?
I've always wondered what percentage of apps come in right at the application deadline. anyone know if there's public info about the timing/distribution of app submission?

I've wondered that too. It's funny how all of us on here are about stats with this kind of stuff. No one else understands me.

Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
Last year, several top schools extended deadlines because of the December snowstorm that made a lot of people have to reschedule taking the LSAT until February. I think that was just a convenient excuse though. Applications are down and schools are anxious about filling their classes.thisone2014 wrote:Huh, that's interesting. Here's the official applicant volume graph. It doesn't break it down by school, but only half of all applicants have applied somewhere. I think stronger (T14 or bust) applicants are more on the ball though, so that low applicant volume is probably skewed because a lot of weak applicants apply in the spring.

Indeed, one more reminder how TLS is not representative of the overall applicant pool.

Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
Just thought it interesting-
I applied last cycle and this cycle at the exact same point in the cycle, right after Oct. LSAT scores. Applied to the bottom of the T14 (M,D,N,C,G) plus a couple T20s in regions of interest. By this time last year I'd heard from everyone, but have only heard from the two T20s I applied to this year so far. My resume is basically the same (+1 point on lsat, one year of WE). I was WL'd at every T14 I applied to last year (later admitted to one but declined), so it seems schools may be taking a bit longer to feel out what is borderline this time around and what their pool of applicants is looking like.
Just a thought, could be wrong. whatever.

Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
I went to a panel discussion with three admission deans from three of the top 14 law schools and they definitely relayed the message to everyone they were going to take their time this year. They made sure December test takers knew it was okay to get their scores and apply in January rather than wait for next cycle. You could tell they were pushing to get as many applications in as possible and they weren't afraid to hold onto them to ensure the best class possible for their law schools.mickey_mouse wrote:Just thought it interesting-
