I had my third IR on 3/25 without a DF, submitted around Thanksgiving. NT/URM with really strong softs and a "history of overcoming adversity" but my LSAT is crap (161). Holding out for a miracle.ansberryj wrote:Did anyone else update to IR 3/25 without a DF? My lsat is at 25 but GPA is way above 75th... 161 and URM, particularly if you're African American or Native American (I feel these 2 get the biggest boosts) should be good given you help them on two departments. It took them a while with my app too. I think sometimes they just send the adcoms home with them, and a bottle of wine later they disappear but then they always refind them, maybe not all of it, but at least one page.ht2988 wrote:I had my third IR on 3/25 without a DF, submitted around Thanksgiving. It's weird, some highly qualified people (not necessarily YP material, but good numbers) wait months, and some who you think are more marginal get in faster. With thousands of applications, I guess it's difficult to keep it consistentflexityflex86 wrote:161 and URM, particularly if you're African American or Native American (I feel these 2 get the biggest boosts) should be good given you help them on two departments. Re: USC 2011
I submitted in November, have a single UR date of 12/15, and haven't heard a peep out of USC since then. (GPA a bit under median, LSAT well over 75%, non-URM.) If USC were a top choice and I were anxiously awaiting a decision, I'd be completely beside myself.
Fortunately for my nerves, I've already decided I'm going elsewhere and I'm waiting to hear from USC for curiosity's sake, mainly. If I actually get accepted after all this time (hourumd gives me an 81% likelihood, interestingly), I will greatly enjoy withdrawing and doing my small part to hurt USC's yield rate.

Not bad. Maybe I can swing the day before Berkeley if they give me any money. Has merit money gone out, and how would we hear? I saw the application for it, I wonder how long it would take?RJ127 wrote: Safely, 5.5-6 hours.
What about travel stipend? Is there such a thing? Thanks all. I really hope to make it to visit!

Check the in @ USC thread, scholarships came out today/Friday. 90k is the best they're giving out, and they seem unfriendly to negotiations. I got 75k, not enough for me to stick aroundr6_philly wrote:Not bad. Maybe I can swing the day before Berkeley if they give me any money. Has merit money gone out, and how would we hear? I don't think I can say yes or no to it without finding out from H/S, so that's why I didn't.

I'm still IR 1/7. This is sad. And strange.

Odd. WL with a 3.69/169. That is between median and 75th GPA and 75th LSAT. My cycle has been terrible.

Look at the LSN graph. What the fuck?
