Applied 11/1. Complete 11/9. Accepted 12/13. Status updater said "decision letter in the mail" on 12/6. Took a week to get to the west coast I guess. Good luck all.

Also still waiting, UR since 10/22. I have very borderline numbers for NYU. Since they're already looking at my file, I wish they could just waitlist or deny me already if I'm not getting accepted instead of being potentially strung along until April.

Same, I'd be happy to know I'm definitely going to my second choice (after the initial NYU sobfest) but I just want to know sometime in the near future...

yea it'd be nice knowing either way at this point. this way i could get completely excited for somewhere else as opposed to still retaining a little sense of hope

This is defeatist guys and gals. I'm holding out hope that we all get into NYU. I will be excited for somewhere else if it comes down that that, but I've become enthralled with the idea of NYU and am slightly regretting not EDing.

Just as an FYI, everyone that was waitlisted last year didn't hear so until April.

Looking at dulcatis' thread that matched submission date to acceptance date, I'll think of alternatives if I don't hear by next week. Most (all, but 1) accpetances for October submissions came in by mid-to-late December. 10/22 here.

Best of luck to everyone out there waiting to hear.

I know it's tough, but keep in mind that the holidays are upon us, exams are going on, etc, and that the acceptance rates might slow down a bit. Try to enjoy yourselves in the meantime, and best wishes to all!

When did the most recent round of "Decision letter sent" notifications occur? Some people posted in the last day or two, but IIRC they hadn't looked at their status checkers for a while. Has anyone seen that glorious status for the first time this week?

Are everyone who are hearing back October submissions? I sent around 11/8 and my last status is under review 12/3...

november people have heard back as well. I was just referring to if you are an October submit and haven't herad, you need to think of alternatives because next time you hear from NYU, it's most likely not to be acceptance.

What's the general timeline to go from "processing" to 'complete" via status checker? Around 2-3 weeks?

It can really vary. Some people only wait a week, but others, myself included, waited over a month. I would call and inquire if you wait more than five weeks for the change.

I am bad at predicting these things, bu do we think they will have to do another wave of acceptances soon? It seems from this board that there have already been a bunch of acceptances. Gauging from previous years, should we be expecting many more offers?
