I'm in the same boat. I think it's because they were closed until today. Hopefully we will hear something today.bloodonthetracks wrote:i applied 10 days ago and haven't received a single email from berkeley. is this normal?
What concerns me more is that I have not gotten any acknowledgment from NYU. I applied there last Friday and as far as I know they have been open all week.

Aw. Their home page says "All Berkeley Law offices and the Law Library will be closed December 23 through January 6[,]" though. I guess I'll just assume they're closed until they tweet. Edit: Nvm, I was looking at the LS's home page. The Admissions page includes today. Curses.0L Hoping for 1 wrote:I think they are closed on a furlough today. is it wishful thinking, or haven't we already established that the UR date doesn't neccessarily mean much of anything? and even if it does, theres still the possibility of going to faculty review, rather than rejection. plenty of juicy agonizing time left, in my mind at least.

I prefer your scenario to the idea that I'm whiling away the hours to a slow death on the WL.steelerfan87 wrote:is it wishful thinking, or haven't we already established that the UR date doesn't neccessarily mean much of anything? and even if it does, theres still the possibility of going to faculty review, rather than rejection. plenty of juicy agonizing time left, in my mind at least.

it is actually my diabolical plot to make all those who've yet to hear back from boalt suicidal so as to free up more space for myself. immoral? perhaps. neccessary? maybe not. great way of passing the anxious waiting time? absolutely.tintin wrote:ok guys i've been UR since 10/22. are you TRYING to make me jump off a cliff????
