Personally I would not bother with an email, I tried that avenue and did not receive a response. I was sent an interview request last week of January, emailed them in mid-February, and called a week later. The lady I spoke with was extremely helpful, she told me that they contacted an initial interviewer and gave him a month to get in contact with me, which he failed to do, and then they moved on and found another individual (who has failed to contact me as well). They apparently try to give the initial interviewer as much time as possible before moving on, as finding a secondary person can be difficult/time consuming. The lady also said that the delay caused by the interviewer would be taken into account regarding acceptance/financial aid considerations, which I hope is true. I plan on calling back within the week, since it is getting to the point where the turnaround between the interview/potential acceptance/receipt of financial aid info will leave me with limited time until I need to commit to a school. I advise that you do the same, and perhaps gently suggest that they look for another interviewer due to the lack of contact from the first individual. If you have offers from other schools and perhaps want to use these admissions as leverage for financial aid (this does not apply with to ED post), it will certainly be to your benefit to try and expedite the process, and direct contact with the school seems like the only means to do so. Best of luck.dobie1 wrote:Same situation...was thinking of sending an email. I applied ED, but after 2/1.dcruss wrote:I got an interview request 2/26 and no one has contacted me yet. Should I call?

TITCR - I waited two weeks after responding to the interview invitation. Just called and spoke to a person at the admissions office who was very helpful. She confirmed that they had matched me with an alum in my area last week, had not yet heard back, and would follow up 1-2 times more within the next week. She encouraged me to notify the office by the end of next week if the alum hadn't made contact, so the office could rematch me.MarshallE wrote:

A date change,guys!!!!checkin2014 wrote:Anyone still at 1/31 with no interview?.
I already lost hope but curious to know.
It's 3/12 now.
I don't know what it means but happy to see the movement as a frequent status checker.

Just means that your app has moved on to new part of the admissions process. Specific date changes don't necessarily mean anything, and you'll usually see 2-3 at Georgetown before you get a decision.jettison63 wrote:What is a date change indicative of anyway?
First one was today, and I'm curious.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Anyone know where I can find any statistics relevant to Georgetown's admissions process off of the different waitlists that they have?
I was placed in a "special group" on the preferred waiting list, I'm wondering if that really means anything at all or if it's the equivalent of a gold star on a kindergarten report card...

Congrats to all the admits, and condolences to all dings.
Did anyone who had a group interview remember hearing Dean Cornblatt say something about everyone in the room receiving a decision within two weeks? I feel like he did, although I could be wrong.

I don't think he said "two weeks" but I left under the impression that a decision would be made within a few days and that we'd know within a week.BA414 wrote:Congrats to all the admits, and condolences to all dings.

I applied 1/13 and just went from 2/7 (which actually changed toward the end of February as opposed to 2/7) to 3/12. Anyone one else is a similar position? I am not sure if this UR1 or UR2. Likewise, is an interview a prerequisite for admission? Thanks for any input and advice.

I am not sure whether I paid careful attention or not. Now, my date change says 3/13. Anyone else have a 3/12 to 3/13 or did I just imagine the 3/12!

I was waitlisted, but I never was asked for an interview... so don't know what that means but hope it helps.groovy20 wrote:I applied 1/13 and just went from 2/7 (which actually changed toward the end of February as opposed to 2/7) to 3/12. Sorry to those who were rejected today
I finally got an alum call today for the interview, probably going to do it the week after next. For girls, did y'all wear business skirts/pants and blouse, or something more casual?

Where is it? Mine was at a coffee shop on a Saturday so I just wore jeans. But if it's at an office or something I'd go more business-y.dobie1 wrote:Sorry to those who were rejected today![]()

Dinged. I am comforted only by the thought that it might not have been due to my calling the office to ask if I should send a letter of interest, since others were rejected today too. I can't help but feel like I could have done more, even though my numbers didn't really give me a chance.

Thanks! I am not sure yet, but I am going to guess it will be a coffee shop type setting as well.politics89 wrote:Where is it? Mine was at a coffee shop on a Saturday so I just wore jeans.
