It came in a white envelope.
The first page says Dear Admitted Student, Congratulations again.....

Isn't the acceptance letter envelope blue?
Crazy, but congrats!!

What is the postmark on that white envelope?
Really crazy ! No postmark - presorted first class, U.S. postage paid Columbia University.

Did they address you by your name in the letter? Sounds a bit weird if they didn't. However I haven't been admitted so I have no idea what to expect.

No Letter, just a handbook with a form letter as the first page but the envelope had the right name. I will call them.

TAKE IT AND RUN!!!

I mean, yes, calling them would be the most responsible thing to do. Also that acceptance letter probably had your butler/hammie in it, so you definitely want to locate it ASAP ;)

FINALLY got the letter of admission (sent to my parent's house in GA).....also a Hamilton included!!! (176, 3.8.)
I am stunned.
good luck to those who haven't gotten the acceptance letter yet, I am sure it is on its way. (postmarked 1-28, so it's taken a while to make its way through the postal system.)

I just got an email asking me to sign up for Columbia's random interview. Have any of you guys turned it down? I really don't want to do it but I don't want to hurt my application.

Here we go again. When did you go complete?

I would sign up for it to show interest in the school.

Just got an interview request. Not as good as a blue envelope but at least it means I'm not out of the running yet.

Submitted 11/18. Complete 12/2.

Just went complete maybe 2 weeks ago, submitted about 30 days ago.

I'm terrible with interviews so I really can't see it doing anything except hurting me.

I am still in Completion Pending.

I submitted on 1/16 and I got a notice on 1/17 that said "Initial Application Components Received."

It says to give 2 weeks for completion. It has now been 3 weeks. Should I contact the admissions office or wait longer?

yeahhh, I mean I know it's not all numbers-based but this is a little strange.

...Or I'm just trying to justify the lack of a damn blue envelope in my mailbox.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
