I think that means the denieds are done and will not be reconsidered (in contrast with the helds).JustE wrote:@tweetsbyjohann: For those that applied early decision and were denied, we did consider your application under regular decision as well.
Huh?
How is that confusing:JustE wrote:@tweetsbyjohann: For those that applied early decision and were denied, we did consider your application under regular decision as well.

Basically, everyone who wasn't an admit for ED was considered under RD ("would we like to see this candidate under RD and take more time on their app?"). Everyone who they answered 'no' to was denied. Everyone who they answered 'yes' to was held.JustE wrote:@tweetsbyjohann: For those that applied early decision and were denied, we did consider your application under regular decision as well.

A Why NU is EXTREMELY important. Johann has said before that the Why NU is only technically 'optional' (aka, they expect all/most applicants to write one). I could find the tweet, but I'm too lazy. Essentially he said "If you can't write a Why X, why are you even applying? #wasteoftime"kennethellenparcell wrote:Eugenie Danglars - I've got a question for you. I'm a total TLS and LSN creeper and I saw that you were admitted to NU with similar numbers to mine.
Did you write a Why NU essay? I'm trying to figure out if submitting a Why NU essay would help my application.
I did not. I wrote the PS and what was "optional essay 1" last year (DS). I also submitted a multiple LSAT addendum, so at that point I didn't want to send too much and opted out of the why NU. However, from what I've read on this thread about Johann's tweets and all, you should probably write one. It wasn't quite as emphasized last year and/or I got lucky.kennethellenparcell wrote:Eugenie Danglars - I've got a question for you. Also, another tweet I found that I thought was funny, only because Johann uses 'TCR' -If you refuse to write a "why X school" essay, should you really be applying to that school? #wasteoftime
TCR for not being able to do an IV is not "my IV skills suck".

Sometimes I'll think about something I love about NU and look around and realize no one cares. Then I come on TLS and all is right with the world.crumpetsandtea wrote:Me too!elibrarian wrote:![]()
