UR 3/8, just got my ding. Seems the ivies are determined to shut me out. Withdrawing from Cornell and a Columbia hold so hopefully I and not they will do the bitter parting.

Does Penn give any kind of bump for residency? I'm thinking no but thought some people have a sure answer. My best thought is that they'd give maybe a slight edge to Philly residents at some point in the cycle, but not for other parts of PA, such as western.

I don't think so. But as a local native/resident, it may be much easier to write a convincing why Penn (the 5-year essay). So it is an advantage, probably not a boost.
