Apologies if this has already been discussed, but what are everyone's thoughts about attempting to negotiate scholarships with Michigan despite the letter stating they do not engage in such practices?

They definitely do. My friend is a 2L there and she did it with a WUSTL scholly.

I emailed them a few weeks ago about scholarship stuff and they said that they would love to look at other offers I have, so I would definitely go for it.

It is on the second floor above a local business and is very spacious and sunny with huge ceilings/windows. Best location in town, literally steps away from all of the State St. restaurants/retail/bars/coffee shops. All utilities are included except electric, which runs around $20/month. Asking $700/month, but willing to negotiate. Parking is not included, but you might be able to take over my spot a couple blocks away at no extra charge.
