I've been under review since 10/27. I'm not freaking out or anything but it seems a little weird. Or is it common for NYU to go a long time without updating?

I've been UR for almost as long - since 11/11 - and I think the consensus is that it's probably not a good thing. Anyone else care to weigh in?

UR since 10/26 here, I'll join in on the consensus that it's not a good thing. I've effectively and almost entirely written NYU off. I think out of limited samples people have found a few examples of people in our sitch getting in in February/March/April but it's like 2/12 and again that sample size is very small.

From what I'm seeing ITT, it seems that most acceptances are by phone call? My status checker updated to "decision letter sent" but I have not received a call. Should I assume that I've been WL/R? Or has anyone gotten in without a call?

they usually do the ASW update at the end of the day. They may still be calling you

I can't remember exactly but I think it took me a little while to be able to log in, maybe it was even the next day? Then I got a phone call after that. Good luck!!

ASW took a few (2-3) days for some of the people in the first wave from the 'decision letter sent' update. If it makes you feel better, there's absolutely no way that anyone with your stats is getting WL'd or R'd in January unless one of your recommendation letters was from a professor saying that over the course of your time together you've come to reject 'most' of the tenets of national socialism, or something

Hi me too! The anxiety is enough to make me emerge from my usual lurker status. If I have to wait for the physical letter I will scream-I'm in California and my mail is slooow. If we are indeed rejected, should we at least expect an email today?

If it's any consolation to some of you I went dls yesterday and had no asw access until literally a half an hour ago. I also didn't put my phone number in my app so I wasn't really expecting a call either way. I'm going to take the recent asw access as good news, but just because you don't have it yet doesn't mean anything.

ASW lags behind sometimes. NYU is straight up numbers whore so I would say your DLS is good sign.

Thank you! I guess there's no harm in letting my stats out now, 3.7, 173, UR 11/29. I received a DLS around 3? and I JUST received the acceptance call!! NYU is my #1 so I pretty much can't even explain how happy I am!! Good luck to everyone!!!! Acceptances are en route!!!
