Think most admissions people would find a LOCI annoying when no decision has been made on your app. But don't want to let common sense get in the way of TLS neuroticismVapidP wrote:I thought generally you shouldn't do that? i think it's generally inadvisable to send a LOCI before a decision except in a small number of specific circumstances, which OP may be in. I wouldn't send them out to schools just because OP has.VapidP wrote:StopLawying wrote:Lol, damn it, should've done that for a few schools. I sent one to UVA after being invited to a prospective student dinner and not hearing on my app in 5.5 months. Didn't write a Why UVA so it was sort of a combo. It was very brief. I haven't done if for any other schools, though, and I am not planning to.

Regardless, is it still worth it to go for a visit or are visiting hours over?ashrice13 wrote:i think it's generally inadvisable to send a LOCI before a decision except in a small number of specific circumstances, which OP may be in. Wait visiting "hours"...do you mean today? I'm sure you can still go, it's early. If you mean in general, it's always worth visiting a school you want to go to. I'm not sure I understand the reasoning behind the question.sigree wrote:Regardless, is it still worth it to go for a visit or are visiting hours over?ashrice13 wrote:i think it's generally inadvisable to send a LOCI before a decision except in a small number of specific circumstances, which OP may be in.
