I think Citrus might be making fun of my prior theory that the HLS extension was due to more than just the weather? If that is the case, I'll just point out that I recently received strong support of this theory form very reputable sources. But either way I can't tell if that's what CF is talking about, because it's Friday and my office's holiday party is tonight, so needless to say the eggnog has already made an appearance. This dulls my ability to read into internet posts.ohpobrecito wrote:Sounds to me like CitrusFruit wants to throw down.lawschool22 wrote:My ability to detect internet sarcasm vs. seriousness vs. humor right now is not working, so I'm not sure how to read this...CitrusFruit wrote:I have a theory that the calls will come when lawschool22 stops posting.

JS must have a lot of time on her hands, with the spreadsheets and all.

But in the interest of this thread I will stop posting for a bit just in case that theory of CF's is correct

And I'm just messing with you. I have no expectations anymore for calls because I have had my hopes dashed so many times.

Yeah I'm going to stop guessing as well...it's not going to change anything. Have fun at your party! Is it in the office or at another location? Mine is at a casino...should be interestingCitrusFruit wrote: Mine is tonight, too.

well now we know that ls22 works at a preftigious goldman-type place that allows him to do cutting-edge moneymaking excel work, post nonstop, and access "reputable" sources aka a guy he knows in MA who dropped by the office. when he saw no envelopes going out, he ringed up ls22 and said "yep, supports your theory."

Yep that's me. I just care about $$, make things up, and just make pointless, un-helpful posts non-stop.staples88 wrote:well now we know that ls22 works at a preftigious goldman-type place that allows him to do cutting-edge moneymaking work, post nonstop, and access "reputable" sources aka a guy he knows in MA who dropped by the office. when he saw no envelopes going out, he ringed up ls22 and said "yep, supports your theory."

I hope you don't find those spreadsheets I spent hours on useful or anything. Hmm, time for more eggnong.

I am now getting a lot of PMs about this, asking me if I was this source. I also have been getting a ton of PMS asking about this topic in general.lawschool22 wrote:I think Citrus might be making fun of my prior theory that the HLS extension was due to more than just the weather? The answer to both is that I am in the blind on this and we really are not going to speculate. Apologies but going forward I really can not answer every PM on the topic, it is getting overwhelming and my answer remains the same.

Ask TLS to build you a PM filter that sends auto-responses based on certain pre-determined topics chosen by you.MikeSpivey wrote:I am now getting a lot of PMs about this, asking me if I was this source. forgive me if this has been asked, but what defines "highly unique" in the spreadsheet vs. "above average" for softs ? and does a strong soft outweigh a weaker GPA/LSAT combination ?
also, it would appear as though those individuals who interviewed on or before 11/12 but who did not get a JS2 either had a minor C&F issue or had weaker LSAT/GPA combos. .. again sorry if this point has already been made

Is it correct to assume that the general consensus is that everyone who has received a JS1 after the first JS2 wave will receive a JS2 before Christmas? Also, does everyone who had a JS1 get notified by phonecall whether it be admit/deny/waitlist?

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
I don't think so Pilking76
because if u interviewed too close to the end of December (<2 weeks within the dates when the adcom meets) then you'll probably not hear back in December
i am in that boat
also I just want to point out that
http://www.law.harvard.edu/academics/calendar
shows that their Thanksgiving break started Nov 27, so that's why JS pushed out those JS2's on the 25th and 26th
likewise, the calendar shows the law school going on winter break Dec 21
so if there are JS2's coming in December, they'll like come as they did in Nov -- the two days or so before the holiday break, ie Dec 19+20
so if you interviewed two weeks before Dec 19/20, you'll get a JS2 if accepted, if you interviewed too close like Thurs Dec 5/6, two weeks before, then u won't hear back
i say 2 weeks because those who did JS1 on or before 11/12 got JS2's 11/25-11/26, but those who did JS1 on or after 11/13 did not get JS2's yet (so it would appear on the spreadsheet)

also, i should note that judging from the interview calendar, they're holding interviews through out the end of december... 12/18, 12/19, 12/20
it is possible they may not conduct JS2's until January ...

I'd be shocked if they waited until 2014. Last year they were calling people right up to Christmas break, and it seemed like they wanted to get the good news out to as many people as possible before the holidays. I bet anyone who interviewed even this past week is fair game for a js2 before Christmas

When was the last day you could register for JS1 before winter break?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
