Hey I'm sorry to hear about your DLS. It's marvelous how resilient the human mind is. You don't reject me, I reject you!!!!!! lol. Good look with your remaining cycle! I'm your almost number twin. Two of my number twins have now gone down. I'm feeling that DLS now.

Uh oh, is the chronology theory shot now?

No I'm sure they go by week segments,... that's what's been happening so far. So I wouldn't say the early december UR's are safe for at least the remainder of this week. That includes myself!

I talked to someone in the admissions office today and confirmed Dean Deal is out for the week. She said she will be back next week.

Same. Although I'm holding out hope that somehow she tried to call me and I didn't have service and she refused to leave a voicemail and that I'll get the email later today.

Is it the consensus that those who have avoided DLS status but have not received a phone call are in the mentioned "hold" category? It seems that some decisions have been made for DLS applicants earlier (based on the continuing DLS updates and the Dean's confirmed absence) and are just now being delivered. Could it be that some applicants, such as the poster quoted above, have already been deemed admitted but because of time-consuming clerical tasks have yet to be called by the Dean?

Also, are the complete dates for admitted phone calls as chronological as for the DLS status updates?

The early acceptances at Stanford seem to be really rapid, like within a few weeks of submission. So if you submitted and went complete more than a month ago, I think you can hope to be in the "hold for committee review" pile but will probably not get a call from Dean Deal in the next month.

Of course. No reason to be depressed by something that you have no way of changing anyway. I'll be in the bay area anyway, albeit at a chiller school, and will be cheering for the bears to crush your trees

I applied like three days before the deadline (I know why waste $100) and I got a received email, but not a complete email. Should I email to see what the delay is? Does it usually take two weeks for my file to go complete?
