I still have hope in USC...despite the fact that there is just about a month until the deposit deadline. It's been months and they haven't rejected me yet...and with my stats not being an auto-reject is something to be happy about. I just keep telling myself that there are spots open, and probably more will open up after people withdraw. There may not be a lot, but there are definitely some!

Are we all 165-167/3.5-3.8?
I'm a 168/3.44, FWIW
I'm 169, 3.05. No way I am getting in.
168/3.58. I feel like some of us have to get in, as our numbers aren't awful, by any means, esp for USC.

Hang in there guys. I'm still 2/22. I know the accepted student events coming and going seems like a bad sign, but plenty of people are admitted after them. I think there's at least another round or two of admits before it really gets bleak. It's coming down to the wire, but let's all take chill pills

Fully, fully agree. The already obnoxious amount of anxiety on TLS is getting out of control.

Don't give up hope, guys. I did, but in the end it worked out. It really seems that people are grouped together, and it can be something as simple as the 168 group has not been looked at yet.

I have some bad news, but maybe it will be reassuring to you guys. I talked to the admissions office in person yesterday, and I asked them when they expect to have all the decisions rendered.
They said mid-May.
I guess USC doesn't care that we all have to put down non-refundable seat deposits at other schools because of this

.
Nonetheless, I sat in on a Con Law class and it was amazing. I really really like Professor Brown. I hope to take a class with her next year. I can finally picture myself as a USC 1L....I'm really hoping to get in.

You always have the right to withdraw your application, but if you didn't get a fee waiver, I can understand why you would be upset. That is a pretty bad situation to force an applicant into if the school is their first choice, but on their behalf, it isn't their fault other schools require you to make a deposit.

On the one hand, what the fuck. On the other hand, by the time we hear back all the other qualified applicants will have withdrawn.

Thank you for reminding me that I can withdraw... ?
There's no way I will. I'm just expressing my discontent (in mild form, I might add).

That might be good news. Means they're behind, and nowhere near finished.

I sent an LOCI on March 9. I never got a response. Is it appropriate to call and ask if they received it? I don't want to be too pushy. Have others that sent LOCIs gotten responses from USC about them?

Still in review, updated the status today. I thought my numbers would be auto-admit. I guess not. If I haven't heard back by April 1st, I'll probably withdraw my app.

What's the feeling on USC and scholarships? Any chance they'll match WUSTL being they are tied?

See now I don't mind USC made me wait 4 months. I think it is a little unnerving when a school takes 4 months, and then the following day tells you to pay me money.
