Thanks for the positive thoughts! I submitted the first week so September so we'll see... 10/20s need to keep the faith!dissonance1848 wrote:Several 170/3.8 and 172/3.6 got in. The people who got waitlisted just about all sent in their applications starting in early Dec. If you sent in your apps by mid Nov., I should think your chances are much better.

ED still under review. Expecting a deferral at this point.

Nope. large amount of RD acceptances through letters dated 12/1.etk2103 wrote:are these decisions only for ED candidates?

Re: NYU 2011
So, my status changed a week ago (12/6) to "Decision Letter Sent" with one of the 11/17 time travel dates, but I have yet to receive my letter in Brooklyn. I called the admissions office just now, and they said that letters for some people whose statuses changed last Monday were not sent out with that same batch but that we should expect them soon. She wouldn't take my name or confirm anything specific about my app, so I guess this just means more days of waiting by the mail and rushing home after work while putting my life on hold in anticipation of hearing what I pretty much already know.

That is super annoying! Sorry, man. But the plus side is that, you can feel pretty confident that once it arrives, it'll be a nice fresh acceptance. So that's got to make it at least a little bit of an easier wait.bkhopeful wrote:So, my status changed a week ago (12/6) to "Decision Letter Sent" with one of the 11/17 time travel dates, but I have yet to receive my letter in Brooklyn. Re: NYU 2011
the lady on the phone said what someone else posted here a while back, that the date in our status checker refers to the day the decision was made (which makes me feel good if it's true, since that's the day i went UR). in a very nice voice she all but said, "don't worry," as i awkwardly repeated the things she said and got bizarrely flustered ("you should expect a letter soon" "i should expect a letter soon"). i really think this is our week.kazu wrote:But - but - some 12/6 time travelers (non-NYC) already got their letter!!timmna wrote:No...bkhopeful wrote:So, my status changed a week ago (12/6) to "Decision Letter Sent" with one of the 11/17 time travel dates, but I have yet to receive my letter in Brooklyn. Damn, status still UR 10/30. I am either a hold or auto-reject as an ED candidate. Great
