ya totally. just print out your resume, personal statement, and other interview prep, and have them on your desk while you Skype. your interviewer won't be able to see them at all.blueberrysmoothie wrote:Is it acceptable to have your resume in hand during the interview? It's totally fine to bring materials to an interview (and I would argue necessary, perhaps expected) but when I interview on Skype I always let the interviewer know what I have with me/that I might take light notes. I think it's polite and it will also make it seem more natural if you do reference something or write a bit.seamonkey77777 wrote:ya totally. just print out your resume, personal statement, and other interview prep, and have them on your desk while you Skype. your interviewer won't be able to see them at all.blueberrysmoothie wrote:Is it acceptable to have your resume in hand during the interview? the office will be closed tomorrow, and there will be interviews for the rest of this week, so a small wave of JS2 today maybe?

Have they ever done a Suits/White Collar crossover? Seeing your avatar combined with your post made me realize how awesome that would be.nickhalden wrote:Two more days until Suits returns!whompwhomp wrote:Eladriel wrote:that you are one step closer to #thatHarveySpecterLife

Nope. And now White Collar is over, so very unlikely to happen. In any case, I don't think it would go well. The tones of the two shows are so different. White Collar never took itself too seriously - the plots were unbelievable but the character chemistry and interplay (particularly between Neal and Peter) were so damn fine. I love it because I'm always smiling while watching (except for the series finale). I absolutely love Suits, but the tone is so serious.pylon wrote:Have they ever done a Suits/White Collar crossover? @pylon - awesome JS1 collation!
So I spent three hours tonight working with technical problems between my webcam and Skype (like cannot receive or make video calls) and they're still not resolved. I've got one week to fix this crap. Finally identified it's a problem with my webcam drivers.

This is awesome. Am I right in assuming this refers to invites? (Seems clear enough, just checking to make sure).
Went complete 1/23 so getting hopeful that next week might be my week for a JS1 invite. (Assuming this one is shot due to weather).

Anyone think JS will make some calls from home today? I am trying to delude myself into thinking they planned ahead and made a bunch of decisions yesterday and gave her a call list.

My apologies if this is covered somewhere, but if approx 1200 interviews are conducted and 900 offers are given, does one truly have a 75% chance of acceptance once they get to JS1?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
All it means is that 75% of JS1s get JS2s. There's a fine difference between that and saying they have a 75% chance of acceptance.DiniMae wrote:My apologies if this is covered somewhere, but if approx 1200 interviews are conducted and 900 offers are given, does one truly have a 75% chance of acceptance once they get to JS1?
This is because not all JS1s are equal. If candidate X has 176/3.9 and Y has 170/3.7, even if they both had JS1s, the playing field is not suddenly just levelled. X still has a better shot at acceptance than Y. This affects their relative chance of acceptance. Hopefully that helps!
