Congrats on the acceptance! Did you interview? Because I updated from 2/7 to 2/28 and haven't heard anything about an interview. I'm hoping (foolishly) that I'll receive a letter dated 2/28 some time this week!Sakari wrote:Accepted via mail!
Stats:
LSAT: 169
GPA: 3.98
Complete 2/21/14
My application updated to complete again on 2/27, which was the date on the letter, so I guess the status-checker doesn't tell you if you're under review or not? (You all probably know this already.) But I applied to both part-time and full-time, and looking at the application checker, it states "Full-Time"--so for people who applied to both divisions, this might be something to keep in mind.
My roommate got the letter for me, and the exchange went like this:
Roommate: You got a letter from Georgetown.
me: Oh. Not a package?
Roommate: No, sorry. I guess we all know what a small letter means.
Which, thankfully, wasn't the case. So for those who seem to not be getting updates, it might be something to do with the status-checker? I don't know. Good luck to everyone still waiting! Let me know if you need any more information.
Edit: I haven't received an email or any updates to the status-checker. There was a personal note on my letter of admissions, though, which indicates that they want to be personal about admissions.

Thanks! No, I didn't interview. I'll go edit my post now. Incidentally, I still can't log in to the admitted students' website. Hrm. Anyway, best of luck to you!mattyice122 wrote:Congrats on the acceptance! Did you interview? Because I updated from 2/7 to 2/28 and haven't heard anything about an interview. Similar to yours (3.5, 164). I was expecting to get rejected outright so I'm not sure what I should think about the fact that I haven't gotten an update in almost 2 months.Kuledj wrote:Do you mind sharing your numbers? I just remembered I applied to Georgetown ...
Been just about a month since my interview. The interviewer and I got along really well I think and she said pretty specifically she was recommending me for admission.
Maybe not?
I feel like they should at least give me a hold if they can't make a decision.

Has GULC given out any scholarship yet? I remember it said in the scholarship invitation letter that they will make a decision around 1st March. Can I just assume that having no updates till now means i am going to be awarded nothing?

A couple of things from today's Admit Day that some people might find helpful:
1. As of March 1st, they've essentially made all of their decisions on the applicant pool (at least internally).
2. They also had a 6% increase in applications this year!
Other than that, GULC is cold but still incredible.

So, what are we thinking about people who got interview offers but haven't heard anything since...fkt18 wrote:A couple of things from today's Admit Day that some people might find helpful:

fkt, I'm sure they didn't cover at ASD, but does anyone have any thoughts on why there are still so many waiters ITT if #1 is true? It's been a week. Why would they withhold decisions if they are truly complete?fkt18 wrote:A couple of things from today's Admit Day that some people might find helpful:

It was my impression that GULC goes from Complete to Decision Mailed right? So, this isn't just USPS being slow.

this. unless they've made decisions about us and just need confirmation via interview, e.g. "as suspected, this person is a lunatic, proceed to ding"dehesse wrote:So, what are we thinking about people who got interview offers but haven't heard anything since...fkt18 wrote:A couple of things from today's Admit Day that some people might find helpful:

Well I just got a new status update today after not having once since the first week of January (applied in December), so maybe that's a sign that the final purge/whatever is about to happen...yossarian71 wrote:fkt, I'm sure they didn't cover at ASD, but does anyone have any thoughts on why there are still so many waiters ITT if #1 is true? Yeah. Just got that too. But it's a Complete2, not a decision mailed?elendinel wrote: Well I just got a new status update today after not having once since the first week of January (applied in December), so maybe that's a sign that the final purge/whatever is about to happen...
