Then it was probably a good analysis on their end, no? From their perspective, if you're not going to even write an extra essay saying why you want to go there, it's probably the case that accepting you and throwing money at you is a waste of time, as you're HYS-bound anyway.

They don't get the YP decision correct all the time -- and a handful of people unhappily end up YP'd at MVP, facing near-sticker at CCN, and shut out of HYS -- but I think most of the time they're probably right in their YP decisions.

Held on 01/17 and still waiting. If this is a YP, I'm pretty unhappy about it. I've made numerous efforts to get an acceptance.

I'm getting so nervous right now with all the WL activity. I'm still sitting at UR 3/6 and missed the wave of UR updates this week. I want Penn so badly.

No problem. I went complete 1/28 and went under review 3/13. As a note, though, I applied for the JD/MBA program. They release those decisions according to Wharton's schedule, so I knew I was going to hear Tuesday. Best of luck!!!

So any idea how WLs go at Penn or how visiting the campus works? If I go while the self-guided tours are still open, do you get to meet with anyone or is it pretty much 'here's a badge, do your thing'?
