Does anyone else have trouble remembering their passwords for the status checkers? I forgot mine because I don't usually check them and I couldn't even remember the security question so I got locked out. Maybe I don't deserve to be accepted by this school.

You can email them for your password if you really forgot it, but unless you deleted it, if I were you, I'd just search through my emails for the original "application received" email.

The problem is that I changed the password since then so that email wouldn't really help. I thought I should call them tommorow but then I realized that I'm too lazy and checking the status checker will not make a difference anyway. I might have to do it though if I don't hear anything by the end of January.

If you follow your own advise you'll see why I'm saying it. Not a single 170/3.8 got in and 172/3.6 is far from a lock.

Idk, but I think they were talking about it in the c/o 2014 thread. I'm not 100% about NYU yet so I haven't joined either one.

Several 170/3.8 and 172/3.6 got in. The people who got waitlisted just about all sent in their applications starting in early Dec. If you sent in your apps by mid Nov., I should think your chances are much better.

Not necessarily true. The latter is my number set and trust me when I say that ED'd to get in with it... and that's not an easy decision. If I was anything close to a lock without ED, I wouldn't have ED'd... Trust me when I say that I had gone through the data pretty hard.

Fair enough, a couple of 170/3.8s did get in. (LSN needs to allow to filter the graphs for acceptance only.)

To add something on the other side, I'm 173/3.6 and that 1 LSAT point was enough for me to decide ED wasn't worth it. But yeah, it was close (although I was unlikely to ED anywhere no matter what).

Oh, and I went UR 12/3 and Decision Letter Sent 12/9.

Moral of the story: It's all a guessing game.

Good call. We normally leave them closed until you get your NYU addie and such, but that doesn't really make much sense. I'll get it fixed.
