I just went DR today...I assume this is one that only comes in the mail? Is that for all forms - Rejection, Admission, and WL?

Decision rendered today as well--I think all decisions come snail mail, could be wrong though.

Did you contact them to find this out? I'm curious. PM me if you must...

That sucks, though. Sorry. :(

Is it safe to assume that BC doesn't know what to do with me if they have not reached a decision yet and I applied early January? People have been waitlisted, rejected, and accepted who applied weeks after me according to LSN.

hi guys! I've been talking with the financial aid/admissions office and today was told that a scholarship was unlikely. Try emailing or calling them. I had originally emailed both offices with scholarship offers from other schools. I will still be attending bc this fall!

Uh oh...I e-mailed both offices today about this and listed my other offers. I'm going to be really sad if they respond with a similar answer (although I have a feeling they will). I was really starting to like BC but it won't make sense financially if that is there response.

Hmm, I sent an email last week informing them of my other scholarship offers, with hopes that it would make my offer from BC even better (I haven't received any merit money from them as of yet). But with all these people being told that they aren't getting anything, it makes me wonder if I'm just waiting on money that will never come. I'm going to call today and request a yes or no answer as to whether or not I will be receiving money. No sense wasting time waiting while I can be actually finalizing my law school choice.

Got Waitlisted awhile ago.

LSAT: 161
GPA: 3.6

Really good softs with Law Enforcement experience.

Just wanted people's thoughts on my chance of getting off the waitlist and into the Class of 2013.

an update on merit aid, fwiw: i just called the admissions office, and was told that they are still reviewing people for merit scholarships - so apparently it's not all said and done just yet. she took my name and email and said she'd get back to me.

Thanks, Hugtrees! I'm keeping my fingers cross for SOMETHING (although, as a splitter, I should probably just be happy that I was accepted).

Exactly. I know they are still giving out merit-based aid, however, I know definitively that I'm not getting any. It makes sense given my numbers though. Good luck to you all!

Did they tell you when they will get back to you? I hope its before the 15th. I would hate to withdraw just because of lack of money.

she didn't specify, and i didn't want to press it too hard. didn't want to be too pushy on the first phone call, since i fully intend to call a few more times between now and the 15th...

I also called today and asked about merit aid. The woman explained that they are still reviewing applications for merit packages in a rolling review order and that they hopefully will have all offers out before the 15th but could not guarantee that. I'm hopeful, but by applying late unsure if I'll get anything.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
