I got a nice letter from Baylor yesterday, admitting me to the Spring 2011 class. Annoying for two reasons:

1. I applied for Fall 2010
2. I withdrew my application weeks ago.

Do you have to formally withdraw from schools or if you dont put down a deposit, do they know you are not attending?

it's good manors to withdraw, but if you don't do it after a certain amount of time they do it for you (at least one school did for me)

Not only is it good manners, but it is the ethical thing to do. Although you may no longer be interested in attending a school, for many people it is their top choice and they are sitting on the waiting list praying a spot opens up. Once you know you will not be attending a school you should promptly withdraw.

Letter from USC, telling me it's a no-go on the Rothman scholarship. I assume this means that finalists will be getting notified sometime soon.

I know some people with sub-par numbers who got huge scholarships from syracuse last year - full tuition and maybe even some col 5k or so...

You don't need it for FAFSA, just for some schools on NeedAccess.

No, some schools request you submit your parents' information on the FAFSA if you're under a certain age (27-30ish). The FAFSA itself may not require it, but those schools do.

First of all, are there any stipulations to keeping the full tuition?

MS College does pretty good in the Jackson, MS area only. For the rest of the state, Ole Miss dominates. I really wouldn't recommend going to MS College unless you love the Jackson area, and even then, I'd advise going elsewhere; it is more about your connections in Mississippi than grades.
