I'm able to see my scholarship info under financial aid and accept/decline award in the "self-service" section of access.

Re: SMU 2010!
I just checked my account and I am still being denied access to this information. Maybe it is because I have not paid my second deposit yet. It will probably update during June or so if I had to guess.wellington wrote:I'm able to see my scholarship info under financial aid and accept/decline award in the "self-service" section of access.
Edit: Just paid second seat deposit.

Have there been any communications over the SMU email system?
I just realized I haven't checked it, and I can't find my login info.

kalvano - I've checked it regularly, and I haven't seen anything of consequence yet.

Have you decided if you are going to ride out the wait-list yet?
Edit - I am an idiot. I just realized you were accepted with money. LOL. Sorry about that. Wrong person.

I don't know, after reading more about the waitlist process it just doesn't seem that many schools (including SMU) really do make much movement on the waitlist... I'm hoping they do but the odds seem to be against ittexag08 wrote:Peeves what makes you say you won't get off the wait list?

On that note, I just paid my 2nd deposit, so I'm down for the fall!

AbovetheLaw wrote about how SMU's employment-at-graduation rate is so terrible that they are paying firms about $3,500 to "hire" the students on a "no strings attached" basis for a month or two after graduation.

Re: SMU 2010!
So I received a late increased scholly offer from another school. Would it be wise to shoot SMU's finaid office an email to see if they could match? It would be helpful and it has worked for me for other schools. Anyone know?

I don't believe SMU matches. I think they give their best shot up front.

Re: SMU 2010!
I checked mine last week and had 130 emails. Seriously.kalvano wrote:Have there been any communications over the SMU email system?
I just realized I haven't checked it, and I can't find my login info.
They were all "XXX street is shut down Saturday" and "XXX building won't have AC" and "Watergate attorneys give speech on Wednesday" and "Church time updates" But nothing really LS related. It took me about 40 mins to wade through all the crap.

How do you log in to the SMU e-mail system. The only log in info I have is for Access.HBK wrote:I checked mine last week and had 130 emails. Seriously.kalvano wrote:Have there been any communications over the SMU email system?

Re: SMU 2010!
Does anyone have a good guess as to when they might start pulling people off of the waitlist? Hoping it's not as late as last year, I'm just trying to figure out how long I can wait on putting a deposit down on an apartment up in MD. Thanks.

I am not familiar with Access. Can we forward mail to gmail? I doubt I'll remember to check this very often.DavidB wrote:http://webmail.smu.edutinyone wrote:How do you log in to the SMU e-mail system. The only log in info I have is for Access.

All the information was sent via hardcopy letters. They assign you a student number and password.SpencerPratt wrote:I am not familiar with Access. Can we forward mail to gmail? Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
