Your glasses are all half full. Waitlists are better than outright rejections any day. Not to mention, if you are getting waitlisted at a school like Michigan, you almost certainly have great options other than that. Don't let it get you down.

75% of the wl i've seen here are obvious YP. if you actually want to go to mich 1st choice then send a loci and i'm sure they'll pull you but if you ONLY wanted their $ then their wl yp strat worked didn't it..

WL email for me as well. This is the second school to have waitlisted me when I have stellar numbers (first one was Duke). I think it because of their emphasis on yield and perhaps they think I'm overqualified. Regardless, I was actually interested in both schools and this whole WL thing is a pain in the butt (I mean I interviewed with Harvard for crying out loud!)

Exact same situation, but higher Gpa and lower lsat. Priority WL at Duke after after applying PT and now WL at Michigan. I'm still waiting on a ton of schools and hopefully a js2 and I thought this was a terrible omen but after seeing the post here, I feel a bit better.
